Had these on my f30 and loved them. My only gripe was the sequential turn signals looking a tad bit on the aftermarket side.
The bimmer plug has some headlight carbon fiber "eyebrow" pieces that cover that silver trim you talked about in the beginning.

You can disconnect to plug on each thin wire for each light to turn off the sequential.
Tried this and didn’t work for the f80.

On the VLAND Oleds for the f82 you can switch off the sequential turnsignal by unplugging one specific harness. Maybe it is the same on yours?

So i've seen a few people that have owned the F80 M3's say that the crank hub is the weakest point of the motor of this generation. Did you already perform this mod or will you be planning to do so?
Will be handling it before I tune the car.
