It would be nice to see a driver view of the train from Flinders Street Station to the Showgrounds while the show is on next week. The train arriving with the rides in the background and station attended would look cool!
I work not far from the Upfield station in Campbellfield. Go across this line in Fawkner and park near Brunswick station on the weekend sometimes. This is very familiar territory for me. Interesting to see it from the drivers view. Thanks for uploading this.
I was wondering about the many level crossings still in existence, also the stations seem very close together! So, SKYRAIL with two stations replacing three, seems a good idea!
I think the furthest I've been on this line in recent memory was Jewell and Moreland, respectively, to go to Stay Gold and Valhalla Axe Throwing. The new Moreland station is impressive. Though the last time I went to the end of the line was maybe 21 years ago. How time flies.
Thanks for posting a great video. I look forward to seeing the Jewell - Brunswick - Anstey section when they get skyrailed. I live in Sydney and I am used to seeing double colour light signalling for block working. The signals normally display green over green, amber or red and red over red for through running. I am confused with the Melbourne signalling system showing red over green and green over red. I look forward to seeing the Gowrie to Upfield section when this section is duplicated in the future.
Only new her, so apologies if asked before. Is it possible to do a video of you working the controls aswell? Would definitely be cool to see both views in a video!

Thanks for the great video as the sound of a comeng is far the best sounding train. Was the driver possibly using the air brakes as thats why there is alot of ppssst pssst air sounds coming from the cab?
Watching a mighty comeng never gets old thanks alot for all videos. Is it Me or did the driver over shoot the platforms in the city loop and north melb?
Nothing can beat a good old comeng and the sounds of the air brakes adds the icing on the cake. Do you know if its drivers choice if they choose only to use the air brakes through there whole shift over the rheo brakes?
Awesome video! The upfield line is probably one of my favorites and it’s pretty cool seeing the train go via the loop.

The Jewell - Brunswick - Anstey part's supposed to be getting skyrailed and the 3 stations replaced with 2 so good to see this as is now.

Anstey and Brunswick are something like the 3rd closest pair of stations on the network, so I can understand replacing 2 with 1 there.
