I finally made it out to the Rainbow last year. Went there three times in a week. The history in that place is mind-boggling. The clientelle was unreal. If those walls could talk...
@@6-Iron Nope. You didn't years ago - hopefully that hasn't changed. Just don't stare or look for stars - just go in eat or dance upstairs. It's so dark anyway!
@@robin9876 We went. The place is amazing. The vampire lair is a must see. The staff is super friendly and will tell you more historical facts than you want to know. :) As a bonus we went into The Whiskey while a band was loading in. Same story there. This was definitely a bucket list experience.
This place is so iconic,so much history, so many famous musicians & bands. Thanks for doing this Scott, because most of us who watch won't get the chance to or opportunity to see this place in person. Great video 👍
Best part was the Lair. Can you imagine....? Saddest part was the Burger King looking bench and table where Belushi had his last meal.....So glad you got to go inside and tour the place for us, Scott. Looks like the place is going full tilt for the 80s and 90s rock influence at the moment. Love it that you showcased a little 50s and 60s vibe in there with the Marilyn booth. Again - Thanx for sharing. Always enjoy what you present. Until next time - take care, my friend. Safe travels.
Another great video Scott!..... born 76, I'm so glad I got to experience the 80s as a kid and was in high school during the early 90s. Like most generations, I can't get into what they call "Music" today haha.
I loved the Rainbow!!! Went there quite often with friends and I always was upstairs. It’s where I first experienced the dangers of the Long Island Iced Tea. 😂. I’d see quite a few musicians there. I’m 57 now and haven’t been in over 25 years. Fantastic place! Thanks for sharing!❤️
Thanks for the tour! One of the many many music venues I want to visit. Loved the Belushi spot! I would be so star struck being in there.🤩 The Cult!!!!! Yes
Next time I go to California that is going to definitely be on my.. thank you Scott for giving us a tour and put your all into every video that you do you are very much appreciated, much love, light and peace Scott❤
Love the lemmy mural he was had one of the most unique voices ever. RIP sir. Thank you Scott for the behind the scene tours of these legendary places I caught the viper room one recently and it was amazing keep rocking and making more awesome content.
Another great tour video of one of the most important RnR locations on the planet. We went there last summer for lunch on a weekday. It was very quiet and nice and yes the food (appetizers) was great. We sat at the table with Ronnie's photo above. I understand that the Rainbow is where he actually met his wife. Had no idea that we were directly next to Zep's favorite booth. So awesome. Unfortunately the upstairs bar area was closed off (no need for it to be open at that time) so we didn't get to tour that, so glad to be able to see it here. It's sensory overload in there man. Soooo many photos and memorabilia just surrounding you at any given spot. And when you're a RnR nerd, you can just get lost in it all for a long time. So, all of that to say that I'm glad it was really slow when we were there so that I could walk around and gawk and not look like a total dweeb lol!
The album is called “Use Your ILLUSION” for a reason: because the November Rain Church is teeny on the outside and ginormous on the inside! Quite the illusion, no?! It’s a cool party trick!! 😂😂😂
I'll visit for the first time in 4 days, can't wait to enter this holy hall of Rock'n Roll. This place has to be preserved for eternity, no matter the cost.
That place is so cool & neat! Thank you for the tour Scott & Pete, especially you Scott😊 I hope I get to actually visit that place someday. I’m huge rock fan. You two are awesome!
Best Club in the World. Been here several times, always a night to remember. Met Lemmy someday, such a great and nice man. Thanks for posting a great video.
The first place I'm going to when I get to LA is the Rainbow Bar n Grill. I'm soo Jealous n I love you sharing this Scott😂 Lemmy Kilmister's favorite spot, dude lived soo close by n he loved that place. John Belushi ate his last meal there before going back to the Chateau Marmont n died. Soo much History 😊
My favorite lead singer used to go there everyday and sat at the same spot every time he went… The end of the bar with the gambling machine, Lemmy Kilmister from Motorhead, I’m totally geeking out I really want to go and see it in person someday. 💕 Thanks for sharing this.
Hi Scott, I watched this when you first posted it and what an amazing place this is!! I would love to see it in person!! All those tables are so iconic! So much history here. I'm glad you got in there when it was empty because we probably couldn't have heard anything once the music and patrons were there. You always do such great videos and I get to see places I will probably never be able to get to. Thanks to you for another A plus pluse awesome video!
Very nice video. I finished reading the Slash's book biography and now I'm currently reading the Guns N' Roses history. This club is mentioned so many times in both books. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Cool history there! I love those bands! One of my top 3 favorite bands is The Cult! Finally got to see them a few years ago. I love that the Rainbow Room keeps the history there!
I was a fixture at rhe Rainbow from 75 on at the dance floor. Rock and roll refugee camp for rockers during the disco years. So many wonderful memories.
I absolute love this! It brings back so many memories. I use to hang out here in the 90’s. I met my musician ex-husband there (out front after closing) a week before I was going to get married to someone else! My girlfriends and I would hang out in the VIP Room upstairs and so funny Wilt Chamberlain was the bouncer. I’m sure it was his fast way to meet pretty girls!!! So many stories from that place and famous people we would meet and drink with. Awe the good ole days. Thank you for taking me back to the good ole days. ❤ Devon Leigh Smith
Wow Scott that was truly amazing! Love everything about it and you make it so fun going through it! My fiancè especially loved Motorhead and his favourite drink was a "Lemmy", a JD & Coke! Thanks for taking us along! 😊🇨🇦
This is so cool Scott!! Thanks for sharing this!! This is the one place I wanted to get to last time I was on the Sunset Strip but ran out of time!! I could spend DAYS looking at all those photos/posters/instruments!! What a place!!

Was there in 2013 smoking blunts in the booth on the patio. Food is great and the atmosphere unexplainable at the time. I still have pictures on sunset but none inside the rainbow
Very cool rock n roll history! What a place! I thought I just read somewhere that this building and the one next to it was slated for demolition but I hope I am wrong. i am going to watch this one again. Thanks Scott.

The booth in the corner behind the wooden panels is where I sat with members of Alice Coopers band one time! Rainbow is awesome. Will be revisiting in a couple weeks.
This place is a perfect example of if these walls could talk
that would be a story or 2
The 80’s were a hell of a time to be alive 🤘🏻
