The Hollywood Hills are a residential neighborhood in the central region of Los Angeles, California.
The Hollywood Hills straddle the Cahuenga Pass within the Santa Monica Mountains.
The neighborhood touches Studio City, Universal City and Burbank on the north, Griffith Park on the north and east, Los Feliz on the southeast, Hollywood on the south and Hollywood Hills West on the west. It includes Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Mount Sinai Memorial Park Cemetery, the Hollywood Reservoir, the Hollywood Sign, the Hollywood Bowl and the John Anson Ford Theater.
Hollywood Hills is bisected southeast-northwest by US 101. The neighborhood is bounded on the northwest and north by the Los Angeles city line, on the east by a fireroad through Griffith Park, continuing on Western Avenue, on the south by Franklin Avenue and on the west by an irregular line that includes Outpost Drive.
Bedrock of the Hills is a complex association of granitic and metamorphic rock plus interbedded sandstone and shale on which brown loamy soil, often shallow and with abundant stones, has developed.

To be fair his tours look longer then the Hollywood tours stop for lol. I know it's a street so they can't sit around but it's gotta be hard to take pics and get info and let it all in, in less than a minute lol

i live in north hollywood and know much of the tour. skip the bullshit hollywood tours and i can take you through out the hills and scott can join too cause he seems fun. cheers

I loved this. please do more home tours! I did a home tour a few years ago and they drove us by Eddie Murphy's home at the time and they said he was one of the most down to earth celebrities they have ever encountered and will come down with his dogs to greet fans from time to time when the tours would stop by. He actually let one of the folks use the restroom in his guest house. Great stuff Scott!

Hey Scott, Debbie from Calgary again. I loved this video, I went to Hollywood a few times. I seen Quite a few stars homes. Once I passed Lucille Ball’s home and she came out to her lawn and said hi to me. It was awesome! Thanks for another great video! Take care
Hey Scott. I know you said you don’t understand car stuff, but I am going to try to explain low gear to you. In particular an automatic car has the Drive, and then 2 and 1 under that. Sometimes even 3. When in those gears, it forces the transmission to slow you down. In the case of the hills you referred to, your car would slow down on it’s own more, so you don’t ruin your brakes. Going down extreme hills constantly and holding down the brakes could cause your brakes to catch fire. In a manual car, just down shift and it will do basically the same thing.

Some years ago , I saw David Spade up here in Calgary, Alberta . He asked me if I had any spare change . I think he wanted to use a pay phone 😂😂😂😂😂. He must have relatives or friends here .
Car can be driven in lower gears in if the car is an automatic. Instead of driving in drive, you can put the car in gear 1 or 2. These gears are used for towing and driving on hills or mountains.
This video is really more about....driveways of the rich and famous😏

Your right, cameras never do the scenery justice. I love seeing celebrity homes, especially when you show their childhood homes and where they live now. I would love to see the finished product when they are completed with the houses that are being renovated. You must keep a address book to the rich and famous .... I know I would if I were doing what you do. You always do such interesting videos Scott. I enjoy every one of them. I always try to catch your videos when they first go up, but we are shorthanded at work for about a week and a half so I'm two hours late for this one. I'm sorry about that. Stll worth the wait though!!

I miss living in LA it's like an Adventure everywhere you go. You never know who you're going to run into.
You drive an automatic so yes, there is only R,D,N,P. If you had a foreign car, such as a Lambo, Corvetter, or Maserate, these are manuals. Meaning that in place of your alphabet there are numbers such as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, P. Use lower gear is so that the engine of these super cars are not causing increased noise for the neighbors when passing through because of the hill, so the person that would be in 3 moves the shifter to 2 or 1 to coax down the hill being quiet. Hope this helps.
Love the house tours even if all you can see is the shrubbery! My favorite actor Humphrey Bogart lived and died in Holmby Hills.

In the beginning, you are in Trousdale Estates - originally all mid century homes and at 932, it’s Elvis’s home on Hillcrest (white home on left) and beside his on the right was Danny Thomas’s home which was demolished and now being re built.

Scott that new build on top of the hill you mentioned at 9:30 in your video looks like the old Danny Thomas property - he owned a spectacular home right at 1187 Hillcrest Dr. - he named it Villa Rosa and from Wallace Ridge Drive it offered a spectacular view of the house - unfortunately someone paid $65 million for the property just to tear it down and rebuild 😢 - Elvis Presley lived at the house next door at 1174 Hillcrest for many years - I used to drive to that very spot on Wallce Ridge to get a great view of Thomas's hilltop home

That 3 cups of coffee it has turned you into a comedian, Buuuddyyy!! Let this country girl explain to you when they are talking about low gear. Just like when you was passing that jeep sometimes they're four-by-four so they have to go up in that area where you're talking about in first gear. Some people still drive a stick. But I would say it's mainly for trucks and truckers they have to bring all of that stuff up there. But thank you so so so much for showing my favorite actor in the whole wide world, Keanu Reeves. Scott my friend were going to have to share him, the Canadians and the Americans. But stay safe drink lots of water. I'm inside today it's only 112 here in Oklahoma so yeah..❤✌️

Switch to lower gear means If you have a 4 speed standard they want you to shift down to 3 gear. I imagine it's because you are coming downhill.
You can also do it in automatic if it has a 1 or 2 below the D .. and that's what she said lol! 😉
