I know there are criticisms from those who love the traditional versions of this song but I look at it like this...........this version appeals to a younger generation is is pretty much targeted to them. It keeps this song alive and appreciated by a whole knew audience who wouldn’t listen to Marc’s version. It may not be for everyone but is is for some. I say WELL DONE TY!

Love this song & I LOVE Ty. I just don’t love the way Ty has redone this song. The original Marc Cohn version & the Lonestar redo are not upbeat dance songs &, in my opinion, this version should not have been made into a dance party song. Looking it up I saw Cher & one other also did it & I doubt they made it a dance party song either. I know Ty could have done this song justice if he had redid it without making it a dance party song - he is an awesome singer/artist but I’m not liking these last two songs he’s remade (this & Whitney Houston’s I wanna dance with somebody). To me - they don’t fit him.
I like ty always have but this remake sounded really mellow/half assed? Like the way he sang it didnt match the music at all. It would have been better acappela or slower music anyone else?
