Tenpai and Snake Eyes got fucking murdered. Yubel got shot, but is still alive. Maliss and Ryzeal just got super buffed after their first week of a huge showing

@@mohwe1007TCG has a habit of not dealing with floodgate and locks in general. Like Shifter somehow survived Birds, Kash, Ritual Beast, Tenpai, and now Maliss. Pair this with Calamity, Sanctifire, and Kali Yuga only being addressed very recently after years of nonsense. Like wtf.

The AI generated vomiting horse influenced Konami to change their approach in the F&L list and into actually make some effort. One of the few times online bullying ended in something good and it’s hilarious if you think about it.

Tbh I can’t see it because MD follows the OCG list more then anything I mean both of those formats have kitkallos banned but MD it’s not it’s more about having those decks playable rather unplayable that’s why the rogue section is so diverse

@@coreym8145It absolutely is something to celebrate. For one it’s multiple less problems to deal with. Who gives a damn about the meta sheep that willingly buy every tiered deck after another getting taken advantage of.
Dealing with just 1 or 2 overpowered decks is much better then 5+.

No it isn't, only scrubs want cards banned instead of letting the game breathe and adapting to and evolving the "meta". The vast majority of this community are scrubs

Master Duel showed that Zoodiac without multiple Ratpier and Broadbull aren't doing much.
Yeah but the MD player base is far less committed, competent, and experimental then a lot of paper. There’s a lot of cards unbanned that have no business being so yet most MD players don’t take advantage of

This was fun, good ideas, though I would have been very happy to see Nightmare pain and Fenrir behind the shed.
Fenrir and Unicorn honestly need to die, Phantom I think is a more relevant hit then Pain. Without Phantom being spammable is the engine really worth using?
@@FrostReave Yes because Pain is what turns the game unfair, If you can't out it then they've basically won the game. Frankly I don't see Pantom as much of a problem, but I'll gladly say by to both.
Unicorn I actually don't hate staying simply because it feels like we'll need to make some trade to get rid of Fenrir. Ideally yes both go, but damn it's hard to determine how to make Kash fair and still function as a deck (Konami shot themselves in the foot with that one).

Sanctifire was the problem. Just lock with Ido or Ra’s Disciple.
@@Drak-s1b I don't use Sanctifire for locks. My main strategy with Branded is to stick Mirrorjade on field and support it with Bystials and the other Albaz Dragons, going into Sanctifire if my resources started to run low :3

I wish MD had a TCG styled banlist :( I’m sick of dealing with the same unfair nonsense for months sometimes years.
not a fan of OSS getting banned, that was a cool card for a lot of different decks, not just snake-eye. I kinda wish they just banned Flamberge because that actually severely hinders Snake-Eye decks while having other decks that use this engine as an option. The Azamina cards just came out too.

Banning Flamberge only kills Snake-eye. Banning OSS kills like 6 other more interesting decks as well as SE

That’s exactly the point OSS was problematic for reasons that go way beyond snake eyes. They already dealt with snake eyes sufficiently OSS was for all of these stupid piles

I’m excited for this format. I’m going into it playing furniture lab. so excited to learn the deck and learn it against ryzeal and maliss!
Ryzeal seems like a neat and interesting deck but Maliss shifter spam is gonna be annoying. Glad MD at least dealt with the menace
Oss ban kills snake eye completely which is saddening but i understand because the card is way too splashable. its always included in some degen 60 card pile deck, it would have been better if the wording was more specific to snake eye

As a Branded player, I'm so hype! As someone who never used Sanctifire for toxic locks, I'm so happy I can keep using it until the Blue-Eyes structure deck comes out

The announcement was crazy, but I really wish we had Circular back. Good thing I haven't ordered my Flame Swordsman/Ignoble cards yet, was planning on getting a small package of 3 Wanted, 1 OSS and 1 Diabellstar.
Circular is fine at 1. Sure it scales with cyberse basically infinitely but since all of it revolves around Circular himself forcing players to search him is probably enough. We will see with the new cyberse stuff we are getting soon
Tenpai is severely crippled and snake eye is dead. They didnt hit fiendsmith at all, so that sucks, but the presentation was awesome, actually having a face to the company. Overall, im glad they did the banlist announcement like this and I hope they keep doing it, but can we have at least a light hit to fiemdsmith?
Snake Eyes isn't as dead. There are patchworks that can help mend some of the bridges. But, Tenpai is completely dead. 1 Chundra and 1 Kaimen is beyond playable. There's no patchwork to mend Tenpai's OTK consistency. 1 Chundra OR 1 Kaimen is manageable. Both getting hit killed the deck entirely.

Snake-Eye and Tenpai were a mistake, seriously, Konami did it just to sell a lot of unbalanced cards, really bad

I would be alot happier with this list if there was something budget players could compete with. We already were struggling without Mulcharmys but now we don’t even have a core to work with.
Man that puts a smile on my face xD now i can probably beat gimmick decks and tempi because ive kinda been dealing with gimmick puppets alot lately as much as i have been running into snake eyes and yubel dino wrestler is ok ish with the dragoon deck but i find it useless to me because i only have 1 so to get it in my first draw not very likely
this was a cool format for delivering the banlist. way better than the august one for sure. that said they could bring drident and barrage to 5 and zoo would be bad still as long as ratpier and broadbull stay where they are.
I hope we get these hits in master duel. We would finally have a more spread meta instead of 60% all decks yubel tenpai and snake eyes

The way they announce Zoodiac Barrage almost made people faint somewhere, thinking "my god they're bringing back Broadbull". Maybe Master Duel might do that at the end of the month, hm?
LMAO, they cooked Tenpai and Yubel in a format that didn’t make any impact at YCS Anaheim, where 65% of the Top 32 were Ryzeal (43.75%) and Malice (21.875%). Now, it’s going to be just like the OCG, where those two decks are dominating.

Hey coder love your videos man best master duel and yu-gi-oh content person. But I was wondering I know it’s long stretch but maybe you could do a series kinda like how you have one get master rank, you could do one each time you rank up have use deck from next year any. So example go from gold 4 to gold 3 and in gold 4 you using a deck from 2009 then now you went gold 3 have go to using a deck from 2010 then you just keep ranking up using decks until get to decks of 2024 sounds cool and fun ❤
I'm dodging the banlist pretty much since ever, because I never play best deck (in which OSS could be used) and I never play cringe decks (Tenpai, Gimmick puppet lock). Everything they did on the ban list was good. Only thing they could have done better, is banning Sanctifire Dragon instead of Gimmick puppet Knightmare. (Because now Branded players will just summon Ra's Deciple to your field, effectively still gimmick puppet locking you - just in a slightly worse way, I guess?)
As long as kash doesn’t get hit all is good in this world

They are probably a little hesitant about giving us Drident back with Ryzeal format on the horizon. Maybe once Maliss gets the new @ignister support, they’ll release Drident to give Ryzeal a boost to compete wit Maliss again.

Phantom was a dumb hit. "Oh but it hurts hand traps." No it doesn't. It still loses to impermanence, purge, impulse, and any trap based hand trap. All this does is make hand trap spam even more dominant than it already was. Because now your opponent can just hit Phantom with imperm and then they can freely spam their monster hand traps until we recycle it during which time they can hinder us with said hand traps in our attempts to do so. Yubel isn't the problem. The problem is freaking Fiend smith and Unchained stealing Yubel cards because Konami didn't lock either of them up tightly enough.
Eva without Beatrice isn't amazing imo maybe if we had union hanger back but that ain't happening and the whole herald of ultimateness turbo plan isn't fantastic anymore, but I'll take Eva to 2 I guess
yubel can still work with 1 phantom, especially since throne and soul rage can recycle
and gates to 3 again helps

The stuff coder said won't exactly age well when ryzeal and maliss are still the 2 best decks 9 months later. This banlist would've been perfect if shifter got limited or better yet banned. That way other decks don't have to just lose to it

In fact that banlist seems cool but when you the result of YCS anaheim it's actually a useless banlist who doesn't change anything we already know : We will be in a ryzeal / (maliss) format with crazy side engine untouched : fiendsmith and kashtira..
Btw that clarify the meta by destroying tenpai and SE but keep yubel alive but not full power to let the new deck shine... Hmm why not ?

not sure what all the excitement is about.. konami are literally just making you by ryzeal now. they didnt need to hit tenpai and snake eyes so hard and they did. i am bored of replacing the meta defining engine with another, just make them all good where there are options. top 8 ryzeals incoming

OSS being hit is not only a cynical move just to push more product, but it’s also emblematic of what will kill this game in the end. Constantly having to buy new cards just to be competitive is such a bad deal, and now it’s to the point where you can play a deck in Magic and have it be legal longer than a deck in Yugioh. Why even play Yugioh unless you’re just a slave to the game?

I'm glad Konami is listening to players when it comes to some recent requests, because the newest meta had some very toxic plays. Hopefully with how much they've brought back, we see some more interesting decks. I'm tired of people playing their deck around Snake-Eyes and Tenpai, and them limiting these cards will hopefully put an end to 23 handtrap decks. It's a lot more fun playing against a deck that mains more monsters than hand traps. Now I'll be really happy if they hit Chaos Angel, that card always gets used in the worst combo decks as an extender on top of Little Knight. I already deal with enough negates, I don't want to deal with these negates + a Little Knight and Chaos Angel banishment combo.
What combo with Angel and little knight? I’m not sure what you mean, bro
you have two banishment possibilities of opponents cards with Little Knight. If you have Chaos Angel on the board, you get another banishment. It’s just a very difficult board to break unless I have a Sphere Mode or Kaiju handtrap. It’s less about whether or not there is an out to the board, but more that there isn’t a consistent out unless you are willing to hit your deck with its consistency.

Oss is kinda unplayable, there is 1 ash, 1 poplar, no oss. Having no oss makes diabelle not help the deck at all now. Pretty much deck was killed X3. Maybe if they release something like oss but only tied to snake eye monsters would see play again

So let me get this straight. Konami hates engines. Bans Original which is an Engine card. But doesn't touch Fiendsmith or Flamberg

This banlist is actually so bad compared to what the ocg got. They didn’t bring back master peace or drident. Branded fusion should’ve been back to at least 2 and Albion banned. Shifter? No shifter hit is just same floodgate meta with shifter decks. Only nice thing is tenpai dead

I dont dislike the hits on Yubel (which has to decide if using Phantom as a negate or as an extender right now) and Tenpai (nice and cheap entry level for the game, it provides miserable gameplay tho).
The hits on Branded seem kinda unnecessary at this point.
If you manage to combo off thru Ash, DBarrier and Fuwaloss if you get an unfair win condition I dont really care. And without the puppet lock the deck is technically unplayable.
The OSS hit is terrible since it slaughters the best fire decks (which are kinda mid rn) and more fair fire builds as well.
Barrage at 1 is a joke. We could have Bull and Drident back and nobody would really care.
Ritual beast still untouched for whatever reason and no hate for Fiendsmith, which puts you in a "better have Fuwaloss" situation.
At the end of the day it's a classic: "make sure you buy new cards" list. Which is fair but nothing to be too much excited for.
