River walks are always special but waterfalls add extra magic. I'm hoping to retire in three years time so this has been added to the exploration list. Thanks for uploading Steve.
Sorry to see a gate has been put up to stop people coming down. I did a walk years ago from Ingleton on to Ingleborough, then down to Chapel-le Dale and along a marvellous limestone pavement before going down to Thornton Force and back into Ingleton. Nice film. Glad to see that again.
Thanks Michael...yes i suspect there are lots of people that try to get down to Ingleton via that path passing Thornton force, i believe the path is on private land..however the return via the Doe seems ok to walk down.
Nice one Steve. Looked a great walk that. I’m not a fan of steps though. 😂. Nice little cafe is always welcome too. Good job. Have great weekend. 👍🏻🚶🏻♂️🚶♀️
Hello! I watch your movie with pleasure and interest. I wish you success, greetings and traditionally I support your channel by clicking thumbs up 👍 Thank you for sharing. I hope you have a great day. I send you my friendly greetings! 😀
Hi Yasmin...yes it was lovely and quiet, we only saw about half a dozen other people...i can image at the weekend though it would be a different kettle of fish...Thanks Steven
Nice gentle walk that Steve, shame the sun didn’t shine but your up north so you’ll be used to the gloom. Money tree looked loaded! I would have gone for the bacon roll myself and a tea. Take care and always remember to live simply. Cheers Mike 👍
Thanks Mike...believe it or not the sun does occasionally shine up here...tried prising a few of those coins out of the tree so i could afford something to eat at the cafe..but they wouldn't except bent pennies...boy it's hard living up north.
It's a long while since we've done the waterfalls walk....and it's 20 minutes away from home! Thanks for reminding me 👍 It's a lovely walk, best at this time of year.... busy in Summer!😲 TFS, cheers Alistair 👍
What a great place to visit you’ve got some great walking on your doorstep 👍 I’ve seen money trees before the one in your video is going to need an extension! Thanks
I really enjoyed this , I felt I could almost smell the fresh air , thank you for posting this guys 👍👍👍 The money tree , I’m sure others will start doing that at other locations . Good choice of background music 👌👌 🎸🎶🎸…….Victor👍 👍 New subscriber 😀👍
Well I must admit I’ve never heard of this place - fantastic falls and scenery. Amazing! We’ve been up around the Dales a couple of times but missed this! Beautiful and relaxing vid - loved that. Did look a bit like Fort Knox though! Another place on the list Stephen mate Have a good weekend
Very picturesque Steve! Didn't get a chance to go on the trail last time I was in the area, but will take a look next time👍 "Just a normal coffee" love it! 😁 Are you another one baffled by modern coffee shop menus?👍
Beautiful spot, love Ingleton Falls. Quite a laidback trail for you guys, a lovely reprieve and recharge from your long distance ventures. The one way system seems very draconian, was it put in for covid? Great video 👍
Hi Nick...we last did this walk about 15 years ago and couldn't remember much about it, so it was a nice refresh...i think it has been one way for years, i am glad it is as the paths are quite narrow in places above a few steep drops...i reckon it is also to stop people using the paths to see the falls without paying...all in all a good day out...only 4.5 miles but it took us over 3 hours....cheers Steven
Afternoon Olga..it's £10 admission price, which is a bit steep, just to go for a walk, but it is so beautiful, we found it well worth it...Thanks Steven
We have been meaning to do this loop for years and twice set off to do it but getting side tracked at White Scar Caves and others on the way there, so by the time we got there it was too late to fully enjoy it. That looked hard work mind, banging in that £2 coin into the tree with just a stone. Given the time of year it has been quite a dry winter so far in 2023 and despite the falls being impressive I can only imagine what they would be like after a weeks heavy rain. Hmmmm, no price on the board for a bacon sarnie, which is usually a bad sign but have to admit that chocolate slice looked nice mind. This will be getting done this year and it looked very quiet, unsure if that was because it was mid week or you got there early doors? Cheers Alan
Hi Alan...make sure you visit next time you are passing as its a great day out...only 4.5 miles but it took us over 3 hours as we kept stopping to film and Gawp about..it must be even better after a few days of heavy rain..Cheers mate.
Ooh we have had this trail on our list for a while, hoping to visit it this summer🤞. Looks beautiful!🤩👌. How much is it to get in if you don't mind us asking Steve? Great video as always, Shell and Pete👍
Hi Shell and Pete...you will love this walk...it costs £10 each, which is a lot for simply going for a walk, but parking is free so that brings the cost down a bit...It took as over 3 hours to get round so we thought it was well worth the money...If you do go, it would be much better after heavy rain..all in all a good day out...Steven and Karen
@@atrampinthehills.841 thanks so much for the info Steven and Karen, much appreciated. 3 hours isn't too bad for £10 and free parking, think we may well treat ourselves to this day out this year😊👍
We were only debating doing the Ingleton trail yesterday, but it says it's a strenuous walk and we are just in to our 70's, what did you think of it, looks great but lots of steps, though we do plenty of steps in our other walks.
I am sure you would have been fine..there are several steps but we just took them slowly..there is the cafe at Beezleys farm at around the half way mark, on the whole its quite gentle and only 4.5 miles long...we did this yesterday, it was pretty quiet...i can imagine it's very busy at the weekends...thanks Steven.
Absolutely beautiful trail. The money tree is very interesting. If you can send me an email. I have folks asking when you will join me for MONK’s a LIVE! Thanks for sharing Steven.
Hi Dan...this was a beautiful short walk...a lovely few hours out....i might have to decline your lovely offer of joining you on MONK'S a LIVE as i have no idea on how to set up my laptop for a livestream....i would also be very nervous and wouldn't know what to say...i am quite a shy person really...thanks i really appreciate you thinking of me...Steven

Beautiful trail Steven and I love the 'just a normal coffee'. That's how I like it. No fancy names, just a coffee. Thanks for sharing.
yeah...i just like a normal coffee...none of that fancy stuff
