    Great Rajesh jee , Blunt and Straight forward queries to the bunch of people who creates Engineering seats sitting in AC rooms and degrading the system of Engineering in India . 60% branches are out of course and industry. All youtubers comes and make videos with promotion from academic partners but you are the one who has shown guts to open with blunder in Engg. System of India . Great 👌👍 Vlog for today.

    Very well said sir... The 2 points u mentioned are absolutely true.. No1 iits/nits are not being realistic with almost same distribution of seats among all courses completely ignoring the supply and demand.. No2 iits/nits still don't make student want to pursue in core branches, the atmosphere right after someone joins core branch is that they will jump ship into csc... Due to this we produce below par software enggs from various core sectors doing what they shouldn't be doing..

    Sir, you have raised very pertinent points. I am an Electrical Engineer (1988 batch) from B. E. College, Shibpur (second oldest engineering college of India), now known as IIEST. For my nephew who has appeared in JEE (Main), I was studying the courses offered by various colleges and exactly these serious questions came to my mind. It's high time the Govt. steps in to close down irrelevant branches like Mechatronics, Automobile Engg., Artificial Intelligence, Engg. Physics, Bio-Technology at the B. Tech. level. Some of these streams may merit being taught at M. Tech. level.
    Also, Govt. should regulate the demand vs. supply balance for branches with very limited job opportunities, like Metallurgy, Aeronautical Engg., Naval Architecture, Textile Technology, Ceramic Engg., Leather Technology, etc. Earlier, this country used to roll out very limited number of engineers every year from these branches and the demand vs. supply equilibrium was more or less maintained. But everything has gone haywire nowadays.

    • @SS-eu2ef
      @SS-eu2ef 2 года назад

      Exactlyyy, branches like textile engineering, bio-tech and automobiles must be closed ; seats are being wasted in those branches although i would argue that aeronautical and aerospace engineering must be there ; even though there is no homegrown aerospace industry that can support thousands of jobs ; the government agencies still recruit students from IIT’s directly to isro , drdo which are the lifeline of this country for that one reason it must exist as a branch wether it can cater to an non-existent industry or not

      And uninterested students enter this branch just on the basis of college

So, someone has! to take risks & real engineering is all about solving current problems through innovative ideas, for that IITs are funded heavily.

    Sir I should choose IIIT Bhopal CSE or IIIT PUNE ECE.??? During the college I want to prepare for UPSC along with college studies. Unfortunately if failed in UPSC, the I want a proper backup to get a good job in IT company.
    By choosing ECE, I need to do coding for backup along with UPSC preparation which would be a difficult job. What is your opinion.? Should I go for ECE in IIIT PUNE or CSE in IIIT BHOPAL(near to my home).

      If Upsc is your target, ECE toh matt hi lena
      (Mai toh bolunga IIIT ke seniors ko linkedin pey contact karkey puch lo, ki workload uss waley IIIT mey kaisa hai)

    Sir thanks for addressing this topic....but the question arises what we at our level can do?
    Even if we keep on questioning the T&P cell, will they even take any action? I doubt.
    I got metallurgy in NIT Jamshedpur but am still doubtful whether I will get a job in a reputed steel company. Most of those pass out from this branch are working in IT industry as SD.

    There is not much to say about Biotech but Biomedical and Bioinformatics are rapidly fastest-growing fields.
