I actually watched this show first since it had come out earlier, and I will say it. Compared to Squid Games, this FEELS more like a survival 'horror' game, where the stakes are not only higher, the games are not only harder and nervewracking but, somehow I can feel more for the characters. You can feel the characters are actually just people, they can make decisions which are dumb but, relatable in the moment. I hope you get a chance to see all the episodes and maybe even compare the good/bad of both this one and Squid Games!
Why compare. They are different in many ways.

What I love the game in Alice in Borderland compared to Squid Game is that there is solution for every game, you just need to think hard enough. Some of the games in Squid Game is just luck

I have a bit of a different opinion than most comments I've seen here...
Yes, there are some similarities in both Squid Game and Alice in Borderland's premises in that they're survival games--but that's where the similarities end. You're right that this isn't realistic. It requires a lot more suspension of disbelief because there are things in the plot that make no sense. While Squid Game was something that "could happen" in real life and everything there is explained, here they rely more on tension and fear than the actual plot. It's kinda like the show Lost; things are kind of absurd and that makes you want to know what's gonna happen next even more, but somehow they never get around to explaining things properly.
While I finished the show, I felt like the acting and the writing in this are lacking. I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I thought I would. I'll still watch your reactions if you decide to continue because I just enjoy your commentary, though.

i had originally watched this show before Squid game because I was curious of it. While watching it I had really loved the whole concept of the mystery of everything and how risky everything was. I especially the loved the whole cards concept too
I don’t know if watching this show first made my expectations for squid game too high but personally I think this is better

This is an underated show... This is a good show, good as Squid Game. Probably if it has been promoted more when it came out it could have been as famous as Squid Games... just saying hahahaha... This is the only drama based from Manga that I tried searching right after it aired hahaha 😂

The best episodes are later, 5 and 6. The early episodes are good games.
