I loved seeing this! I'm Catholic so the seventh day of rest is a little bit different and is on Sunday instead, without any of the technology barriers. It was so interesting to see you prepare. The only knowledge I had about Shabbat was from my religion classes and Fiddler on the Roof (sad, but true), so this showed me so much more. It's great to see your family's commitment to your Faith!
The seventh day is definitely a day that should be a time for space away from tech anyway, especially social media. I've been trying make holy the Sabbath day more recently, being off of socials and sticking to apps that have content to teach me about my Faith, or just turning off and reading books or going outside. And of course, enjoying family meals.

Hey just curious how it works eating OU-D (bark thins etc. ) after meat if the D stands for Dairy? We only eat OU.
I’m a Christian, but in college I had a Religion class and I thought it was super cool to learn about different religions. I actually ended up choosing Judaism to write my final paper on and even got to go to a Jewish house of worship. It was an amazing experience to learn about a faith I would have never really learned about before. Also I think that Shabbat is super cool, you get to disconnect and get to spend some real quality time with family and loved ones without the distraction of phones or TVs. ❤️

I am Jewish and I am from Israel, I defenitly find it so warm and positive that I can relate so much to such a great influencer like you
I’m Christian, but my family does Jewish customs and we speak a little bit of Hebrew! I love Shabbat, Hanukkah, and Hashanah. Most of these are normal holidays, but Shabbat has always been such a fun tradition. My family also doesn’t eat pork or we try to not eat any red meat. Spending each saturday with family is always so nice.

Haley, I used to watch your thrifting vlogs as ASMR before sleeping because of your calming voice and personality. Now youtube recomended me your more personal vlog and I enjoyed it! I just wanted to say that even though I don't eat kosher, I heard that some doctors or nutrishionists don't recomend combining milk with meat to ease digestion - kosher diet is probably not just a religious habit, but is based on antient wisdom and has practical reasoning too!

i really love watching your vlogs, they are so genuine and we get to see a lot of your family. opening up about your Jewish religion was really interesting because i (im 16) and my family are seventh day adventists. and everything you literally talked about is exactly (kinda) what we do (try to at least lol). we dont do anything from friday sunset to saturday sunset. we can keep lights on and switch them on and off and warm food on a stove. but we gatther together, do devotions and we go to church on a saturday and not a sunday. we're not allowed to buy things or go out with friends (unless it like church related)because the whole idea is that we have 6 days of work and the 7th day is for resting (hence our faith being 7th day adventists). its really interesting how your jewish faith is similar to my jewish and christian faith.
Oh and we don't eat pork and other unclean foods. We only eat quil, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb, mutton and when it comes to fish, the fish needs to have scales. Basically if the animal doesn't have a split hoove or something like that I can't remember. It's unclean
it is so interesting to see another lifestyle with other traditions! it was such a refresher among your other videos (they are still amazing as is!), something different. look forward to other videos such as this! btw, I love your style and thrift vlogs

I'm majoring in religious studies at school and I'm particularly interested In the Abrahamic religions. I'm also Christian so Judaism is important to us in our worship as well. It makes me happy to how y'all adhere to Shabbat in this modern and technological world... also that Shabbat dinner looks delicious!!!

I'm Seventh Day Adventist which is sorta a hybrid of Judaism and Christianity so we keep Sabbath and some other laws, it's cool hearing the jewish side of things also, your Sabbath recipes are definitely inspiration for future reference ♥️

Hello HAE Family, I pray that this finds y'all doing Abundantly well today. This has to be one of my favorites vlogs bcuz I love learning about the Jewish traditions. I'm a Christian as you know & I have a question for you do you think that it's alright for a Christian to keep the Sabbath & to celebrate other Jewish holidays? I love the Lord Jesus & he is Jewish & I think that it's important to learn all about what the Jewish ppl are & how they celebrate life back then when Jesus was here & how they do things now. And I cannot get over how much Aleah has grown. I feel like with every video that you post she's grown so much. And I love how much she's talking too.
