The exchange rate is a killer for me, KRW 3,500 for sandwich toast, ouch. I can get three breakfasts with that in my country (I usually bring my own coffee though)

Street vendors in South Korea are very hygienic and clean by even American standards. Mostly because Koreans are clean in general and if food stands aren’t clean no one would be buying from them. That being said, this particular vendor is quite messy and not as clean as typical korean vendors. The reason being, that she’s catering to mostly tourists, not Koreans. Hence the menu sign in English, Chinese and Japanese and higher prices. Most korean toast makers make a sandwich per order neatly and not this mass style messy way to speed things up!
What I see here is some over cooking and some under cooking. I wonder if she remembers which ones have cheese and which ones have not. You best believe I caught that. Pace can be a little slower. There's no rush
this reminds me of a korean movie of Cha Tae Hyun where he acted as a mentally challenged character who made toasted sandwiches likw this so that he can earn for his sister. Ha Ji Won was also there, she was I think, she had a crush on Cha Tae Hyun (Cha Tae Hyun was not mentally challenged at birth but because of an accident he became one)
I wonder how many people actually die or get sick with this kind of food. All comments point out that food could kill and stuff. Like it doesn't happen when you go to a restaurant or order fast food.

The korean merchants in there sell things in sooo expensive price bcz many foreigners have no idea abt korean prices, so they do that.. And we also think some street foods (including this one) are dirty tho... of course some are not so if you want to try that korean style toast then go to the Issac Toast in Korea. - maybe 2500 or 3000 KRW for the cheapest one i guess? It's rly good and cheap And even korean ppls do not prefer to do shopping in Myeongdong Most korean ppl would like to go to Hongdae or other places instead of there
most people have no idea what Korean language is and they no idea what or where to go. most just follow the guidebook or the you tube videos and try the food there in myeondong.
