I had my folders set to open in a new window forever. Suddenly, that doesn't work anymore. I'm sure some update screwed things up but the ONLY way to open a folder in a separate window is right click. Also, hovering over any file now automatically shows, for example a picture, another window with the picture enlarged which makes things more difficult because the enlarged picture sometimes gets in the way of what you're working on.
Well, there are easier ways if you want to use keyboard shortcuts!. Windows key+E to quickly open a file explorer window. Select any folder or drive letter if you wish, then Control+Enter to open that folder on a new window.
As of the latest Windows update there is now a "Open folder in new tab" option when right clicking. I honestly can't believe there's no hot key for this. Like holding Ctrl and double clicking a folder to open it in a new window for example. Just like you can hold control and click a link to open it in a new tab on Chrome. I use the shit out of hot keys, shortcuts and macros so this bothers me a bit lol.
Years gone by and still no support for middle-click despite all modern browsers long ago implemented opening a link in a new tab with a middle click. Wait, what am I talking about when there's no tabs either?

Can't see the 3 dots on my file explorer (Windows 10) mine looks rather different from yours - I have Quick Access not Home
