- Decorating kids rooms can be VERY overwhelming especially because they change their mind on a daily basis! This week I’m going through the kids rooms and showing you what and why we chose certain wallpapers, colors, decor etc!
And find out who wants to change their room around!!! Eek!!

I was dying when she was talking about the hardships of having to share a bathroom with her sister. “We had one of those tub showers” she said with disdain. Lol that’s a normal shower for most people.
Her issue was not with the shower, but with the fact that it kept getting clogged and the person who showered second had to deal with a pool of water at the bottom. I understand her, I don't believe she's trying to show off, she's just sharing her thoughts and her house decoration with us, which is actually very sweet.
Hélia Alves Im not taking a shot at her. I just think it’s funny that her experiences are so different than those of most other people. I think we can all agree that she doesn’t live a regular life. There’s nothing wrong with that but it comes with a degree of disconnection from how the rest of us live.
@@alliesong77 I completely understand your point, but she comes from a regular family and states how she used to live, so I would imagine she's aware of how most people live, she's probably just happy and grateful she can live a better lifestyle now. I know I would be too, if it was me.
alliesong77 seriously we had six girls in one bedroom 3 bunk beds and one bathroom imagine that scene. She is a spoiled twit.

Nothing wrong with having bunk beds or sharing a room, but having a nice place doesn't make a person spoiled, except if their core values are rotten, which I don't think is happening to them. They know they are fortunate and they're grateful. Being poor doesn't make a person better, being rich doesn't necessarily mean the person is evil.
My family doesn’t have any photos of us being fabulous in Aspen, or Italy... more like school pictures with the corny backgrounds. We need to step it up

But the corny backgrounds are the best. It's something most people can relate to because most of us have those family photos and you or someone in the family remembers the story behind those photos. Lol.
Heather!! You can take your photos to a graphic designer or photographer and have them scan your photos then color correct them digitally to bring the color back. Please do it now before they fade even more!! Then you can have the new digital files and replace them every time they fade!!
Unless the photographer put a safety copyright protection on them. When you scan them, it appears on the new copy.
Save your pictures , they are plenty apps that will do that, you can take a picture of your pictures and fix the color,size etc, I am using always Picscanner app ,good luck!
regardless, altering photos taken by a studio or professional photographer is actually illegal anyway, a reputable designer wouldnt do it...

@@GenIus-zm3qf Because they're copyrighted and the rights are owned by the photographer not Heather. That's why she's reaching out to them. Before digital there was film and they didn't even give her the film negatives. That's how protective the photographer is over his work
Heather's house has all the warmth and spontaneity of a mausoleum.
That's why LVP is the queen. She knows how to create a cozy atmosphere that is also very high end.

That's not a home..its cold..not warm..
Lol ours echos at 2200 sq feet, we have 12-10 foot ceilings. We have the same lights too, but only 9 over the formal dining room , 3 over breakfast bar, one over kitchen table and one in entry. We be po' lol. Oh and hubby and I share a bathroom, there is a 1/2 bath in the laundry room, and full bath down the hall where the other 4 bedrooms are. Maybe we aren't so po' our kitchen knobs come from restoration hardware too. Lol we are po' only drive one Tesla. I'll bet they have at least 4 cars worth millions. lol I decided we are po' no kids at home anymore but when all three and DIL here they share bathrooms with us or the 1/2 bath in laundry. We have a built in pool, we are po' it isn't an infinity pool, just a free shape "cement pond" ok I'll stop now I can't keep up, I never will.

I know some people may not like her house because it may seem "too much like a hotel" or "not homey" etc. but I really like it!!!!

For the most part, ours too. 5 years into our newer home and we are just building a second bathroom and finishing our half-finished basement. But that is because we saved money on our own a little at a time and didn't take a out a huge mortgage or some home equity line of credit to do it. That's how our parents and grandparents did it.

I'd love to give a Heather a tour of my home, here is my entry hall you take two steps and turn and you're in the living room. See the lovely textured ceiling hey at least it's not popcorn. this white dining room table was purchased at a thrift store for $20 and I painted it chalk paint White. The two chairs were found on the side of the road in someone's trash pile, they were perfectly good and had a great shape they just needed seats which I found at Lowe's and covered the seats with fabric am I polished them up with some Murphy's oil soap. This wallpaper you see here was actually hung by me took me a whole weekend and there's a little bit of a crooked bit 😬 here in this spot but I did it myself. In my room you'll find a beautiful white country bed the reason there's a stack of books holding up one of the railings is because my 230 lb 23 year old son came in and flopped on it and broke one of the railings. instead of running out and buying a new bed like you we just found some books to prop the damn thing up. In the corner sits my green accent chair. It matches my room perfectly and a steal on Craigslist for only $40!! New still in the packaging. Here is the laundry room it is the size of a small closet, that is the wallpaper is still from the 80s as I have not had time to tear it down and replace it with new as I work about 50 hours a week. Oh and you can't use the dryer it's been broken for the past 4 years, we just hang our clothes on these drying racks and on this tension rod up here one day I hope to get a new I've got it on my vision board. Anyways that concludes our tour hope you like it 😆

I love Dr Dubrow’s show and his colleague, Paul. Heather seems down to earth compared to some rich people and her “manse” is gorgeous! I loved her video and seeing such wealth and all the decor. Seems like a great family with much love and yes, much privilege. I thought the kids were precious. Good for them!

Just once I want to hear a child like this honestly say they are THANKFUL!! I think the most grateful child is the SON!!
I would think it's difficult when you are a child who is born into this kind of luxury, and it's all you've ever known, to understand how lucky you are and to be really grateful for it. As nice as the kids seems, it would be hard not have a bit of a sense of entitlement when you can basically have anything you want when you want it.

The thing that I strive for most when decorating a home is “cozy”. I want my living space to look and feel cozy. Warm and cozy and comfortable. IMO there is no way that Heather’s house could ever be made cozy, but it is a very elegant place.
I love hearing the thought process behind the designs. Coco's room is too cute! And yes! Monster spray is a must. My kid's have a "sweet dreams" spray with lavender and grapefruit oils. Beautiful family.

I enjoy these videos and embrace others taste in interiors. As a southern girl, I just love Georgian architecture, fluted casings, pocket and French doors, canopy rice beds, I gotta thing for hand crafted dental molding, tropical ceiling fans, displays of beautiful China, indoor plants and trees draped in Spanish moss..... add an eclectic collection of memorabilia from our life and travels - makes me very cozy happy. Include our Dalmatians, lovable animals, and oil paintings of hunting dogs and horses in the paddock -- and I am in heaven sharing my home for charitable causes.

Pretty much every parent does this. You work hard so that you can provide a better life for your children. I bust my ass so that my kids have more opportunities than I did - teaching them about business, being smart with money, how to behave in a professional environment, how to have resilience without being a snowflake or an arrogant asshole, how "living your best life" can mean loving your job or doing a job you don't really like to pay for doing things you love - either is fine, and how to balance accepting yourself with striving to be better. All things that I was never taught as a kid. My proudest parent moment was when we were watching "hairspray" and my kids thought I was joking when I had to explain segregation to them - the idea that people would be judged for their skin colour seemed so ludicrous to them (yes I know segregation is still a big issue in some parts of the world, but eventually we will all get to the point where they realise it's a dumb idea)

I truly love that you let your kids have a say in decorating their rooms. My parents were the same way and let me experiment with decorative ideas in my room including regrettably painting my walls bright yellow (loved it as a ten year old). That freedom at a young age gave me such confidence in my current space as an adult. I have my own sense of style and I love that I know how to and feel comfortable expressing myself. Your giving your children that same confidence I love it! Love your videos, your beautiful family and home.

Dr Dubrow and Heather have worked their butts off for many years, why not be happy that they can afford this home. I'm happy for them and their family. This is what going to school and hard work will get you. Not sitting at your computer and complaining about what they have and what you don't have. Be happy for them

Woke up this morning, only to realize that this house didn't belong to me (insert sad face here). I love her house and the fact that they are enjoying the fruits of their labor. And for those who write nasty comments, all I have to say is, either you are (deep down) green with envy, or your life, style and money are way better than theirs. Give us a tour of your crib so we may critique it as you would.

Do you not see that your whole set of videos showing off your lavish home is a tour to show everyone how fabulous your house is, and by extension, how fabulous you are. Nothing wrong with having a tour of your house. Nothing wrong with being proud of it and sharing it. I enjoy looking at it. But why criticize other people for doing basically what you are doing?

When I was 10-11 I was sharing a tiny attic room without a door with sloped ceilings that did not even allow me to stand up. My 2 smaller siblings and I were sleeping on three 1.5 inch thick matrasses (if you can call them that) pushed next to each other that took up about 75% of the room. Strangely I never felt we were poor. Now we have our own rooms that we decorated ourselves, although not this lavish. These kids are so lucky. I hope they can appreciate what they have.
Why does everyone hate on the rich? She spent a long time working and decorating her house and if she would like to show it off then she can! It’s a gorgeous home. You wouldn’t say to someone who just bought an expensive piece of art not to show it! Don’t kill her just because her kids have amazing rooms. If you had as much money as her of course you would! Would you rather she threw it all out, and bought ikea furniture and have all that money stuck in a bank account?

Thank you Heather that was relaxing to watch. (My daughter & I just refurbished a 'first time' vanity for her 7 year old ....gold, glitter and pink & gold shimmer seating ...yes ...the colors are awesome). But, when I'm all grown up (LOL) I'll take the "black & white" room ...please & Thank you. Can't wait for you to show off the rest of your home. An amazing job. Love the star wars desk and game chair for a/your son. You really made your house a "home".

Being in the military I do not own my own home we're constantly renting and everytime I get to a new place or duty station... I always redo my style. You'd be totally surprised how certain things don't fit/ "go" in certain homes
