Amber Mullahy I’ve traveled a lot and lived abroad and the same thing has happened to me- it is sad but in a way, but it’s sooo soo amazing meeting people from everywhere. I have friends all over Europe now and I talk to them fairly often- social media makes it so much easier. It’s quite enriching and cool. Of course you can’t see them in person all the time but when you do it makes it that much more special :) plus now you have excuses to visit the countries!

i literally started tearing up, i understand how you felt because i go to boarding school and you live with all your friends and i get sad at the end of every term, its literally a second fam

This is so lame I don't write comments on anything but damn ur vlogs and your SAS experience coming to an end just got me feeling like I should probably tell you how much it meant to me. Thanks Emma.
I feel your sadness. I made a group of friends on a 7 day cruise and we hung out every night getting ice cream and going to the arcade and just exploring. It was so awful saying good bye to them, I remember the last night before getting off the ship we stayed up all night talking to each other on the ships messaging app. I lost contact with a few but the best thing you have is the memories.
I literally went on a two week trip overseas and bawled my eyes out when we had to say goodbye- and we all live in the same city. I can't imagine getting so close to people for a SEMESTER and knowing that u may never see some of them ever again

Watching your Semester at Sea videos make me cry on the daily!! I was all set for SASSP21 but ended up moving my deposit last week with everything to 22' since the itinerary was practically the same. I KNOW the extra wait for a perfect voyage will be worth it but just know these videos are keeping me sane in the meantime! xoxo

I did study abroad in japan for a month this time last year, and I still get a little sad. But I can’t imagine going for 4 months! I would be heartbroken 😞 I’m looking into SAS currently because of you and I’m hoping I can do it as well in the future. You only live once.
I spent last spring break in jaco and I absolutely loved it. I dm’d you about that açai place and you never saw it but you ended up going anyway. I still miss those açai bowls 😂.
