Great video once again Kevin, I got a question if possible you can answer. I had a similar printer which was giving a thick black vertical line (portrait on paper) about 2 inches wide down the page when scanning. What do you think is the cause of that? You would get that if you scan to pc or do a scan copy. Is it the lamp or the data ribbon cable. Thanks for your response.

I think it's the lamp or ADF glass. Try to scan a full-page without the ADF. If there is no vertical line, then the lamp is okay and the ADF glass is dirty, so it will create a vertical line when a page goes through. Most of these Epsons use generic lamps. You can pick up a cheaper model and swap the lamp.

@@BCHTechnologies thanks for the feedback, I am getting the black line through both the adf and scanner bed. So based on your response it more than likely is the lamp.
