I like how JJ made an arm just for Ned. He didn't have to. He could have left him behind, and probably should have, but Ned wanted a robot too so he made him one he would really like.

Captain being pressed into his seat by the g-force is great
Three things I love about this Scene, 1) the Voice actors went through the trouble of stilting their speech to match the choppy way they spoke in Voltron. 2) the thought of Jonas actually building a giant clown head to Ned's specifications.....is too hilarious for words XD and 3) What the Captain went through when the sword swung is why All the Power Rangers gather up in the chest and not each individual limb XD
boy i never thought about the chest thing. Now that you mention it, i do remember seeing power rangers always being in one room
Or at least put Captain at the shoulder socket.
Finally a mecha battle where the energy sword is used first instead of only after a prolonged fight.
I like that the monarchs are watching the transformation sequence the same way we are

It even has the strobe effect that caused all those kids watching pokemon to stroke out.
I like to think that Jonas Jr set up some sort of video hack that displays this to any screens available, just to show off his cool robot.
The music is playing, too. You can hear it get tinny when it switches from our view to coming over The Monarch's view screen and speakers.
I love that the transformation music can be heard over the Monarch's screen
Ahh, nothing better than a Voltron parody in a violent adult cartoon.
Well Voltron was pretty violent from the start. (AKA Beast King Go-Lion).
Transformation sequence references Golion (Voltron), colour scheme and overall design references Grendizer, drill arm references Getter 2.
@MrNahual2099 The Netflix Voltron series did a good job of rationalizing it. Magic. Literally, it's magic. And the robot lions are sapient, empathic, and have a telepathic bond with each other and their pilots.
In other words, it works IF you do it like the Matrix (or rather, how the Watchowskis WANTED the Matrix to be, if not for executive meddling). The coordination is done by linking everyone's minds into a gestalt.

Not really! I mean, the original Golion (Voltron) also had LGBTQ for both tokenism and competing against Mazinger Z’s cisgender bisexual henchperson AKA Baron Ashura.

I think that's my favorite line by far.
The happiest I was in 2023 was when Ventronic showed up at the end of Radiant is the Blood of Baboon Heart.
im glad this wasn't the last we ever saw of ventronic because this was one of my favorite gags in the whole series

This episode was my first exposure to venture bros. Had no idea what was in store for me but I instantly fell in love.
A better Voltron episode in a few minutes, than Rick and Morty in a whole episode.
Not that I'm hating on Voltron (in this case Ventronik) or anything but I just wanna go on record & say that a giant robot that requires a pilot for every limb is without a doubt the dumbest design for a giant robot I ever seen. I mean can you imagine how difficult it must be to make complex combat moves in that thing?
spacemonkey it would be nearly imposible to make a simple move
spacemonkey Sentai explains it sometimes. Voltron never does lol. But each part forms a whole so I'd think the leader does most of the obvious movements and the others handle lesser functions, like a real ship. This made fun of it perfectly.

It could be what they did with Getter Robo, in that once the robot is combined, all controls go to the pilot of the main unit.
power rangers fix that by putting everyone ina especial cockpit in the robot head.
If you notice music is actually playing outside. You can hear Ventronics theme muffled.
Nobody pointing out that the stubby clown head arm on the robot lines up with JJ's real arm under the prosthetic.
I just love how supportive of Ned's Down syndrome JJ is

Also, notice how Ventronik is a facsimile of JJ himself? The ship Ned is piloting is JJ's stubby arm.

Also... this shows just how DUMB it is to put the cockpit of a robot limb in the part that is most frequently moving. Why is it never the shoulder?

So we're just going to go on record and state that Jonas didn't really have an interest in the costumed protagonist/antagonist game that his father liked to play; that was stated later in this episode. We're also going on record that he had a giant multi-piloted modular combat mech sitting in his garage.

Not an anime, by neither the literal meaning, nor the drawing style, which makes it even more impressive. Old school american animation. Disney killed it, and left room for anime to rise.
