Hi, HK movie afficionado here since the mid-90's. If memory serves me right, I kinda remember having seen an old interview of John Woo from waaay back when (at least 2 decades ago) where he explains that he loves to have pigeons in his movies coz they're basically stand ins for doves, and doves are the symbol of peace. He gets slowmotion pigeons flying all over the place before or during mass gunshots to symbolize that even with all the mayhem and the guns blazing all over the place, he's a pacifist at heart, and he shows the violence and the symbol of peace in the same frame to tragically contrast each other, like peace taking off and flying away as everyone is killing each other, in a very yin-yang fashion.

Will check it out, out if respect to OG film. Nice chat, much appreciated.
These 2 are amazing actors.
Watched this two nights ago. Very good
I wish this was going to theaters or was done as a TV series if it was gonna be on the small screen.
John Woo's movies lots of action and well produced
I’m in Love with Nathalie ever since Game Of Thrones, I was so mad when they killed her off. 😭😭
My favorite John Woo’s film - Hard Boiled.
Nice👍
She's a bad ass killer, awesome movie, and the detective is great
