You beat me to it! I remember being 14, hearing that Travis pastrana was making a track, (and even cooler) he came out of retirement and raced too! (He crashed out of the heat, then blew out his radiator in the lcq) but it was still cool seeing him behind the gate again!
I'm sorry! I knew the track was slightly overscaled but I've gotten into the 53s as well and I always give the pros just a cool five seconds on me easy. The key though is absolutely dragons to dragons. It is doable and it saves 2-3 seconds every lap easily. James and Chad were pretty much the only guys doing it in 2009 so they designed this track to make it pretty tough but definitely doable if you sit into the right rut. Appreciate you trying though! Definitely didn't mean to set you up for failure.
Strange you mention Bobby Kiniry and surprised you remember him. I grew up in the same area of NY and i used to get to watch him cream the 125 expert class on his supermini when he would show up. Quite a treat to watch and i think he was 12 or 13 years old. The same track also hosted an 85cc ripper you might know by the name of Phil Nicolleti. Used to come smoke all the kids with an old CR80 that looked like a barn find. Last but not least a 14 yr old kid used to show up with an old CR250 and race the A class by the name of Ryan Mills. Paul Carpenter also used to make guest appearances at our western NY tracks. Shout out to all our fast NY boys!
MXS SX tracks back in the day were made at 1:1.25 scale. No idea if they still are or what the scale MXB tracks are but, if you take a 45x1.25=56.25 so I'd say mission accomplished?
I think you guys are all a little different and I watch most of you guys. Given I don’t watch any normal tv or movies. Only the tube. It’s easy to watch
Fun fact. The 2009 St Louis SX track was designed by TP199. I think a few tracks that year were designed by sx/mx legends

Kellen u are the goat
Id love to see more supercross and motocross history thrown into your videos
The track was designed by TP199. With all the features he liked even he raced.
I believe that’s what James was doing was jumping to that dragons back
TP199 Cameo for that weekend obviously, I'm surprised it wasn't on a 250 two-stroke, but I don't think the homologation rules would let him
Immediately saw j-law on the qualifying list
Man I remember watching that race. Really was so awesome to watch
stewart was almost the most fun to watch. crash or win. no in between

This looks sick. Gonna have to try this 1....
hit me with a message, I have a code ready for you for a copy! Your videos are awesome.
If the track is scaled to 1.1 or 1.2 then the scaled lap times would be 49 and 54 respectively 🤘
seems like they’ve tried to maximize lap times on SX layouts recently, I like the intent but it makes a lot of tracks feel wayyyy too similar
Hey TJ do a hot lap in that track
My personal fav 250 is the 2024 kx I think it's the best 250
You a go triple double on the section when you go back over the start
Triple in double out to the corner yeah yeah

is this a free track or paid?
Chad reed is my goat but I’m also Australian
To be fair he didn't actually do the best on that track he was only like .5 quicker
