First meeting and he tells Nani that he's ready to write a bad report. 24 hours later, and he's preparing to remove Lilo from Nani's care.
I love the way that the characters are drawn..(the females are drawn realistically with real healthy body curves).. I also can understand stitches randomness..... I have a form of dyslexia I can do lots of things backwards or just completely out of order......

I think there was another theory on what happened to Lilo's parents. I think Lilo's parents were killed in a car accident because their car was bought from a car company that was owned by Mertle's father. I think Mertle's father was a murderer and got arrested for buying a lemon. That is why Mertle was a constant bully to Lilo.

Any “evidence can be made up when people have conspiracy theories like this. Half of the stuff doesn’t even make sense. It’s like they are grasping for straws. While I enjoy conspiracy theories and secrets on a family background as much as the next person, this franchise has been over for years now. If any of this were a thing, it would have come up while the show was still going. Yes, he may not have acted like a normal social worker, but it could simply be due to the riders not fully graspng how one should react, or a number of other reasons. And he almost did take her away once. As for oyster farming, she does live on an island after all, it is possible a child gets interested in what seems like an odd thing for most other children to be interested in, but this show makes it obvious she is not just a regular little girl. And maybe she likes photography for the sake of it, or to feel close to her parents because maybe they enjoyed it too. Taking her on operations without her knowing just seems very far-fetched and dangerous for a little girl. The stuff just doesn’t make sense to me, and some conspiracy theories are just too outlandish to hold any weight. Whatever the story was, if the parents were alive we would have found out before the franchise ended.
