@@knightrider3766 Don't need to be an expert but you should be confident in your ability to fly an EDF. This model is actually a pretty tame jet with the ability to be very aerobatic too.
@@MotionRC thanks for your reply, believe it or not, I purchased the 64mm with the Dm6 controller, never flew it..just sitting in my room collecting dust...smh

I had the original 6s outrunner version and loved it. I never felt like it lacked in anything. Now I have the new inrunner and I have to say it is night and day different. Similar flight times but significant increase in power and smooth jet sound...
Have to say this is one of my top 3 favorites to fly. My nose cone is trashed on my gen 1 edition but I still fly with it. Have a spare one in the box that I hope to not get to anytime soon. Still love to see wing tip lights and complete gear doors on it one day.
Nicely done! And a truly brilliant model it is. On the latest versions of the kit (at least the one I received earlier this year), there is a small rectangular piece of ply for additional securing of the nose cone, preventing it from bending down. As for *really* letting her rip, well for that I would recommend the ARF+ combined with something that smells of kerosene :P Frode filmed some high speed passes as well as some extended vertical climbs, starting from dead slow speed (not carrying any speed into the vertical at all). She accelerates vertically. Not just barely - significantly.
I like how you guys fly at this field. The fact you guys have to use the vertical so much makes you fly like your at an air show. I see a lot of fields where you fly in just circuits. Awesome flyin James
I recently purchased this F-22 with the 1900kv inrunner w/9 blade fan and I fly @ 6,000ft above sea level and she rocks! Plenty of power at this low air density, very happy with it, I fly mine @ 160mm CG and she flares really nice
@@SanExupWyo just my 2c... 8S isn't night and day in terms of overall performance, but is worth it to stretch out the flight times with the lower current of the HV setup.

Hey James, the f-22 raptor is my favorite fighter jet, just the way she preforms is just amazing, I love the way she flys and lands btw=by the way nice landing that was smooth thank you for making this video.😃
The Freewing 90mm F-22 Raptor really is the best flying of the 10 EDF jets I own. It simply has no bad habits. I can't believe we stopped production of the real thing at 187 instead of building 750 of them as was originally planned. And now it appears that the USAF doesn't want them. Unbelievable!
It's a solid performer on grass. Some guys cut the strut springs to soften them up a little, we fly off pretty rough grass and never saw the need to mod anything.
Hi James just ordering mine, but I’m little afraid to flight this bird , I have several flights with the avanti do you think that if I can fly the avanti I could also fly the F-22…thanks
Maiden Day was a disaster. It was all I could do to get back on the ground in one piece. Porpoising, a list, totally out of control. First thought after I got my heart rate below 200 bpm, and got a clean pair of shorts out of the truck. “This is WAY too much jet for me!” I took the Freewing T-33 out for its 500th flight and thought, “This is more my style. It’s maiden flight was 3 clicks of right aileron, 2 clicks of up elevator and I’ve never had a WTF moment, ever.” On the drive home, reality finally set in, “I must’ve done something wrong on the build/setup.” I figured it had to be something with the Elevator. Chatting with RUclipsr’s who had flown and posted videos on the F-22, all but one said, “You must suck, you’re probably just a bad pilot. This plane flies great. Have you looked at either RC boats or trucks?” One guy, KB RC, said he had the same issue and told me to check the elevator bolt attachment and make sure I got it attached correctly. BINGO! Remaidened yesterday. 6 batteries worth. It’s just a big baby in level flight. I’d had the ix12 over to anyone who’s mastered taking off, flying and landing a taildragger trainer. (I’m not stupid, I’d take it off and land it) The 80mm a-10 and the F-22 from Freewing is as good as I’ve come across.
Nice flight James 🤙🏻 your approach looks really hard with all these trees 😫 maybe you could try CG 165mm and it’ll be easier for high Alpha and butter landings 🥰 what a nice jet I just love mine with the new inrunner 1900kv
Dude you sure have gotten good on the sticks. So I just bought the hp 6s version of this bird. Be here this week. I would like to install thge missiles on the side fuselage but I have no printing capabilities and cant find anyone wwith missiles for sale. No thrust vectoring. Tailerons can be programmed in your transmitter. All moving Vertical stabs? Not sure what that means, the vertical stabs have controllable rudders like the real one.

Wow that 1900 kV sounds amazing! Lots of power with that 6s setup. Gyro and low rates gave it a super smooth flight. Great flying James!
Yes it does!
This is the best EDF on the market and my personal favorite. I've got over 500 flights on this bad boy and keep coming for more!
Do I need a gyro for this aircraft.. I never used one in any of my EDFs.
