Like sages plan didnt really feel like a plan u dont exactly see hints to her actual goal like u dont see her using A train as a misinformation trick or how firecracker is completely useless in the season and so on.
@@alexanderrego1998 Sage, yes they didn’t use her as much as they should have. Firecracker, idk. I think she added some, like she was the one that addressed starlights abortion, and i think she was enjoyable to watch, like the deep didn’t add anything either but he was funny so i wont complain yk
@@ivanbalart6298 fr instead if dedicating time to flesh out the stories a bit more so characters arent randomly shoved into the narrative (like Colin or the Gen V cast who wasnt properly introduced to a new audeience who probably hasnt seen gen v) they decided to spend most of the screen time doing the most insane sexual shit juse because they got the sfx to do it, the effects are impressive ngl but it makes watching uncomfortable when your intention isnt to watch people get freaky with superpowers

Fr when it was Starlight they did it as tastefully as one can when showing assault on TV, I appreciated it because I always see media of women getting abused on TV/Movies and these scenes get clipped and put onto adult sites or somewhere for people to get off on this trauma and I assumed they'd do the same for Hughie but it gets played for laughs? The scenes get drawn out and he gets abused then traumatized like 4-5 times. The cast even acknowledges the fetishes they put into the show are real so theres definitely clips of Hughies scene on adult websites for people to get excited about. They really fumbled hard, like I know Eric Kripke overcompensates to this day for Supernatural (most of the critiscms about the show being female characters only allowed to be love interests/maternal roles for the lead characters then dying horrifically) so he tries to make sure these critiscms dont bleed into The Boys but they dropped the ball on Hughie, i can't fathom losing a parent, getting assaulted or risk being murdered, getting assaulted again, then losing 2 best friends. And the most disgusting part of it all is the shape shifter is shown to have Annies memories thats how they know the code to the safe and everything Annies ever said or done, so with that being said the shapeshifter KNEW Hughie got assaulted at the Tek Knight party, they m,ay not know the details but they know it happened and that makes the later joke about using 2 fingers instead of 1 worse, because its implied it was done TO Hughie. But if we give the shifter the benefit of the doubt, the writers still knew Hughie got assaulted and threw in that joke to add salt into the wound that is Hughie having his privacy and autonomy violated in a way thats way worse that what he would've thought but we the audience know different sorry fo the tangent but i cant believe they took the heart of the show (Hughie) and defiled and disrespected his character so much yet want to act like they got a moral highground because they dont show female assault just male and its played for jokes
