Excellent video to show some design flaws and detailed function. Thanks!

Interesting to see how the ice is pushed up in 'bars' then 'cubed' and pushed out by the rotating arm.

Where can you buy parts for it?

Thanks for the video. I just had to repair the gearbox in mine. Can you tell me what the thermistor was tapped to. I didn't see it until it was just hanging there.

I don't remember moving a thermistor, but looking at the raw footage now I do see one just suspended mid-air beside a copper compressor pipe on the side opposite the fan. One thing to try might be search for parts diagrams on images.google.com...

Have you tried filtered water in it to try to help with buildup?

Yes we used filtered water from the fridge whenever we remembered but the tray is too big to go under the dispenser so you had to pour it into a glass first.

What did you do about the linking water … besides getting a bigger tray ?

Here's how I use my ice maker (if anyone even cares)... First... I only use reverse osmosis water (not tap water)... I don't leave mine on 24/7...I can fill my fridge bin with ice then I'm good for a week... so during the time it's just sitting there... I get a little clip fan and clip it so the fan is blowing directly into the ice maker to dry it out... It seems to work as I'm not noticing any build up.... I also use the clip fan to dry dishes after the dishwasher is finished...Just pop the door open, shake racks... and clip the fan so that air is going into the dishwasher... it works better than the dry cycle.

It was broken, he took it apart but didn't fix anything and then it worked....interesting but not helpful in solving any problem.

He watched the video, commented, but didn't add anything that wasn't already obvious to the discussion... interesting.
