- Baillie and the Boys perform their Top 5 Hit song "(Now and Then There's) A Fool Such As I" on the long running country music variety show "Nashville Now" hosted by Ralph Emery. This 1991 appearance includes a brief introduction by Ralph Emery and Shotgun Red. The song "(Now and Then There's) A Fool Such As I" was a remake of an old Hank Snow song also covered by Elvis Presley and was recorded on Baillie and the Boys' 1990 album "The Lights of Home". Baillie & the Boys is an American country music group that gained prominence in the late 1980s. The band's original lineup consisted of Kathie Baillie (lead vocals), her husband, Michael Bonagura (guitar, harmony vocals), and Alan LeBoeuf (bass guitar, harmony vocals). Baillie & the Boys has recorded five studio albums and charted ten Top-40 singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts (between 1987 and 1991).

A great song from the early 50’s which I love. This is the best version that I have heard.
Kathie's rendition of this old song is far and away the best of them all! I love her voice!
This lady can really really really sing.
What a wonderful Country Sound, not many songs and artists like this anymore.
One of the finest voices I've heard in a long time.
I love this song! I sure miss shows like Nashville Now!
Country road tv
They are still GREAT !!!!
Perfect, this song was sent in for a contest and won ❤❤❤

Beautiful voice
Kathie is a professional singer, with a awe inspiring stage presence! I've seen her live. Fantastic!
I saw them at the very first concert I went to (Sept. 29, 1991 at Flathead High School).
Beautiful beyond words
When you can go and see professional musicians, in concert, at a high school, that just goes to show how down to earth some people really are. I never saw them live, just their videos, and on Nashville Now. What talent they still have.
Saw them once at a bar in Plainville, Ct. Kathy and the band were great. Her singing, live, is just as good as the recording.
Studio version hit #5 in Billboard, 10-27-90. God bless!
She is awesome and what a voice she has...loved it!
God Bless,
Jeff :)
Fantastic !
My favorite cover of this classic Hank Snow song. Thanks for the upload!
God this is good!!!
You make Orange, CT. proud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
좋아요~!!
Think I saw her at June Jam in Fort Payne Alabama 😊
How the hell did we go from this to that Taylor swift garbage?!!!
Bill I agree! The early 90's was a rebirth of country music. Nashville "dropped the ball". Now it's second rate southern rock. Very sad.
How did we go from true country to ??? No Name
Or jason aldean? Bleh!
And Carrie Cant Sing Underwood...
@@colleenlattin3009 I sure miss true talent such as this!
Pretty legs go with the voice
@DaveWollenberg
I would kill to get a copy of the studio version.
If I were a Jewish media boss at a big record company, I would sign Baillie & The Boys to a 100 album recording contract.
This BEAUTIFUL Taylor Swift cannot sing Katie CAN...
Better than elvis
Why are they pantomiming such a beautiful song? I would be pissed if I were there.
What were they doing that Would be considered pantomiming Damn you’re a douche bag
They're actually not. I have the live version on a VHS tape. This one is lagging just slightly enough to make it look mimed.
This is NOT NEARLY AS GOOD AS Orginal record. WHY did they not let Larry Sasser
play "THE FIRE OUT OF IT " !!!!!! Great song -- but the "PICKING" is at least 1/2 of the song ---- REALLY 100% FOR ME. The singing is just something to do.
