The rear black spoiler looks like it fits the car and gives it a more supercar look. I like it. I think it compliments the total package. Hooefully it's made well.
@@carsandwhatnotsenior4279 Thanks for letting me know. Beautiful C8. Yellow is my favorite color for a sports car. Red is over done and black too hard to keep clean. Where as blue just doesnt look right for some reason on a C8. Is the yellow still liking your taste? Its easier to keep clean than black?
@@nickm8651 With the colors still offered I would still pick the yellow. Yes, easier to clean. I have had my share of black cars and they do look nice clean but so hard to keep that way. And on the Corvette with black you dont see the black accents. Those accents pop on the yellow.. I know its my car and so I'm probably a little biased but the car is beautiful. Gary
That's the perfect "spoiler" for the look you're going for. It helps break up the yellow while giving you a sporty look without making look like a hot wheels car. Keeps it Classy.
Your friend is correct and that is not a spoiler. It is meant to create an area of high pressure at the rear of the car reducing drag which allows the car to go faster through the air. It does not create down force like a true spoiler.
Finally got my C8 last week! Took a total of about 5 months. Non Z51 no mag ride 2LT, GT2 seats, stealth interior, Black with red stripes and two tone red interior, high wing, performance exhaust with black tips and black gloss 20 spoke wheels with red calipers. Problem is…….. there’s 5 inches of snow on the ground.☹️ Gotta wait for that break in period.
I like that spoiler. It makes it pop. Not too big, just right IMOP. I give you credit for doing your own mods like that. Great job. You ordered a beauty. I'm 68 with a new 2022 Vivid Orange metallic 2SS Camaro. I had the dealer install my Ground Effects Carbon Flash Metallic splitter and rockers.😊
Just bought one for mine from ShopChevyParts, due to arrive soon. Definitely not into the big wing look, but that little guy looks pretty good. There's a good YT video of a guy installing it on a white C8 (like mine), after watching how good it looked, I immediately ordered one...love the no-hole installation and also it's a factory GM part...
Hi sir! I just took delivery of my 2023 C8. I want exactly your setup in the carbon flash 1VM splitter and those rockers. I love the subtlety of these accents. The car is flashy enough as is. Please share stock #, pricing, and company for these parts. Thank you
The company is ACS Composite. They make fine quality parts. Pricing is on their website and they have very prompt delivery. 1VM spitter $559.00 and Z51 rocker $749.00 in carbon flash. ACS Composite.com
The tube of adhesive that came with the spoiler proved a little too difficult for me to apply. I ended up using a tube of silicone adhesive and a caulk gun which made applying the adhesive so much easier in the channel. You might find the supplied adhesive to be messy. Thanks for your comments. Gary
@@kennethmurphy4802 What's nice is there are choices for each person's preference. Not like there is only one choice. In my case, I like the existing body lines without distraction but at the same time I think a little something would look nice too.
@@carsandwhatnotsenior4279 I watched your video again and the more I look at it the more I think you chose the right one. I retract my comment about the other low wing looking better. Always look forward to your videos, please keep them coming.

I like the rear spoiler it makes the car pop and accents the black corvette lettering in the rear. Your car has a very exotic classy look. I love it! 💯Classy!
Yes , and that is completely honest. In bright sun it is a really nice yellow. If a cloud passes the sun there is a slight tinge of green. And that doesn't bother me. In fact it looks a little exotic. In my garage under the LED lights the yellow looks great. It's the cameras picture taking ability that sometimes distorts the look of that yellow from what the eye sees. I still wouldn't change my choice if given the chance.
If you are trying to say its not a GM spoiler as far as I know it is. I got it from a Chevrolet dealership and it is licensed by GM and has GM part number
I had a set of ramps which made it a whole lot easier. I bought the same....had them waiting when mine got delivered May, 2021. Just added the low spolier; I think it really dresses up the rear.
@Carsandwhatnotsenior I'm second in line for a c8 allocation. I'm hoping to build my car very soon. Your videos have been very helpful. Thank you my friend!
If it does anything that black spoiler brings the carbon flash back up to the back of the car. Honestly looks sharp either way but works in the carbon flash well with it on. Great video!!
The bumper does not need to be removed and no holes are needed. It came with 3m tape and a tube of adhesive. So in the future if you want to remove it in theory it will have done no harm to your bumper
I like it it seems to match good with the dark accent colors you've got on the car now. FYI The spoiler is supposed to help you and generally helps only on a track and if you want to get top speed out of your car you wouldn't want to put any kind of a spoiler on and you actually would do that in 7th gear not 8th or top gear. It's really for gas mileage.
Part # on the box was GM19432036 . Underside of the spoiler had part # GM 45B01CM. Spoiler has double sided tape on it and also supplied with tube of black silicone sealant
I prefer the look of no spoiler as well, but I do feel the front definitely needs the front splitter, even if it’s just the factory Z51 splitter. I like the low profile accessory spoiler, but not the OEM low profile spoiler installed at the factory. I’ve got my deposit down for what will be a ‘24 C8 that should arrive late next year. My concern is that the car may not look “balanced” if I put the front splitter on, but leave the rear without a spoiler. What are your thoughts? Can you put up some pics from the side with and without the accessory spoiler?
I wouldn't worry too much about the unbalanced look. I thought about that too but in reality it was a non issue for me. The factory Z51 splitter I think is in the ABS flat black textured class which is far from the look of the ACS 1VM carbon flash look. That look blends so nicely with the rest of the carbon flash black up front.
My C8 will be black. I agree, the ACS product is NICE! What I’m leaning towards right now is going with the OEM Z51 splitter and then the accessory spoiler repainted in black to match the body color…the C8 is a beautiful design that just doesn’t need a big gaudy spoiler on the rear IMO. I understand why you’re torn. The accessory spoiler is the only one I like too because it does complement the lines of the C8…
@@BandDirector Very good CM. Accessory spoiler painted black will blend in nicely with the whole car. That 3rd brake light will all but disappear. Nice touch. Gary
