- In this video I respond to a /r/sportsbook post on Sports Betting Tutorials and as someone who has created several of them, I give my 2 cents on what you can realistically expect to get out of these and whether or not paying for any of them is worth it.

If you're American bet MMA and Boxing. Even though I am a professional gambler I only bet these sports for fun and I'm profitable, whilst it might be my superior betting mechanics these are sports where videoform can find edges. Run an unsophisticated model but with excellent betting mechanics and excellent video analysis and you will have a real good shot.

Any tutorial will only be worth the price it costs to obtain. Anything that yields consistent long term profitability would be worth millions of $$$ and those don't exist for a reason. Best to create a model that yields break even or profitable results over 2+ seasons then overlay it with proven systems (55% or +ROI) to further filter plays. Turn everything into probabilities, track everything and sharpen, repeat. A minimum three year endeavor if you have technical skills but will take your head and emotions out of the equation. Always follow bankroll management of around 2% unit plays, all single straight bets.
If you find a good play at what looks a soft line you should pound it and parlay the hell out of it. I'm not advocating Kelly, it's better when heavily blended with the market price and your price, but it does teach us to bet to overlays and pound good bets. If you parlay a +EV bet with a +EV bet POT increases and since everyone advocates never parlaying you can get around risk management longer.
@@jamest3499 Until someone can prove they can find +EV over at least two seasons in a sport they shouldn't consider parlays unless it's only for entertainment. But if you can do that you don't really need parlays to build your bankroll. Over 99% playing parlays regularly are net negative.
