Georgia fan here, this game does nothing to take away the awesome season yall had and the accomplishments that were made. I enjoyed watching yall play this year. That was a huge stage against an experienced team on that stage.
Great season for TCU. I loved watching the horned frogs play all year. Don’t let any team that couldn’t get to the championship talk smack. TCU earned the right to play for the natty! TCU did something no Big 12 team had done before, that was win a playoff game. Oklahoma was the only other Big 12 member to make the CFP and was 0-4 in their attempts. TCU beat Michigan last weekend and deserved their shot in this game. Unfortunately they brought their D game vs Georgia's A game in an already bad matchup. It sucks but it happens.
I am glad my DAWGS won. If we did lose I would have wanted it to be to TCU though. I would hate if I spent time, money and travel on the game though. I felt like it was a high school team we were playing. But I give them prompts they beat Michigan

TCU, the 3rd best team in the FBS during the 2022 season, yall deserved to be there. The reason GA throttled them so bad, other then the fact that UGA is that much better, is from what I heard, TCU coach and players mentioned how UGA had an "easy schedule" and this angered the GA organization.

The way Georgia played tonight they would have destroyed any team they faced save maybe Alabama. Unfortunately, TCU played one of their worst games in a bad matchup and it was the perfect storm of a beat down. There's no shame making it to the national championship regardless of the result. It's a major stepping stone to build from and I think it will still help TCU going forward. Congrats on a great season!

That’s How I felt, satisfied with Michigan, thought we would lose 48-20 to Georgia. Wanted Ohio to win, felt we had a chance with them. But was surprised of the beat down.
Maybe not that bad but if not for the monsoon that came down in the second half and UGA running the clock with their D suffocating Tennessee, it could have easily been a 3 or 4 TD win. UGA was like a python choking the life out of Tennessee

The final score of the Tennessee and Georgia game did not reflect how much of a beat down that was. Georgia manhandled Tennessee, and Tennessee got 1 touchdown when we went into our prevent. Georgia could've definitely scored 49 on Tennessee, but it wasn't necessary. What Georgia does a lot of the time is get up by 3 scores and dare your team to score 3 times unanswered. While we give the game to the juggernaut defense and call safe plays on offense. TCU definitely deserved to be in the playoffs, and proved it by beating Michigan. Go DAWGS!! 🏆 🏆
Step back and look at it like this a game of that magnitude on that stage and for the game to play out the way it did sometimes cannot only gut a Program but have lingering after effects
For the 2nd straight year Alabama is taking Georgia players from the portal. That's how deep the program is. I certainly hope that TCU doesn't lose prospects because of this one game. Looking back, that loss was the beginning of the Swinney dynasty that has now won 2 national championships. This one game cannot define TCU's entire year. They had a great season and they absolutely earned the right to be in Championship Game. But, anyone who really keeps up with football knew that TCU would be completely out matched. The television analysts only said otherwise in an attempt to build interest for the game. With the level that Georgia played last night, I believe the final result would have been nearly the same....regardless of who they were playing against. It was a flawless performance on both sides of the ball. TCU has a bright future and should find a lot of positives from this season.

They are not going to gain much more from NIL because they were already getting the best players. They are still limited to 85 scholarships. The 85 limit is what gave mid-level Power 5 and mid-major programs a chance to compete against blue chip programs who had previously roster hoarded the better players so they wouldn't play for other programs even though they rarely saw the field. The scholarship limit rule came into effect in the mid-90's and started manifesting on the field by the late 90s for mid-level P5's. By 2006 it elevated mid-majors like Boise St. That limit is what keeps parity is college football. The money and portal might degrade the purity of the sport but not the parity. What Georgia and Bama did get much better at was coaching.
