- With the recent release of the Amazon Prime adaptation of the beloved Fallout video game series, I thought it would be a good idea to explore the games and their lore in depth, so viewers can understand what made them so special.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2022, Fallout started as an isometric RPG heavily influenced by tabletop RPGs. Created by Tim Cain and his team at Interplay Productions, the original Fallout: A Post Nuclear Role-Playing Game envisioned a world inspired by Mad Max, where bright Atomic Age aesthetics met the stark moral dilemmas of a harsh post-nuclear landscape.
Set in a future where an alternative history diverges post-World War II, American culture remains fixed in the 1950s until a catastrophic war with China in 2077 over scarce resources ends dramatically in nuclear fallout. In the mid-2000s, Bethesda Softworks acquired the rights to Fallout, transitioning it into three-dimensional gameplay with Fallout 3, which was followed by several sequels and spin-offs.
Hey guys whats happening? Niyat here with film comics explained, and today we’re going to dive into the factions that appeared after the Great War that destroyed modern civilisation and led to the setting and fallout ridden world of the games, in addition to a breakdown of the story in the entire game series. I’m planning on covering the entire television series, in one more separate video, likely next week, but for the purposes of this video, we’ll be focusing on the post war events that take place in the games.

@@codynoles5121I think it's perception. A 'villain' wanting to kill everyone other than themselves and destroy stuff probably in their mind is saving the world to be rebuilt in their image. Or something. So yeah, the quote is totally true, just not in a black and white way. That's what makes it so prolific, because life is just a shotload of shades of grey.
Maximus sucks, but a lot of people suck. So in that sense he’s a believable character.

I wish Bethesda would actually learn world building from the original. Just started playing FO4 and after two hundred years people are living in squalor with skeletons and junk strewn around their living spaces vs in FO1 people actually rebuilt from the ruins to not live in ruin. Also the idea that people would be walking around in typical 50’s gangster gear toting Tommy guns is a real choice. Anyway great vid.

Fev leaked with the bombs and when you drink fevk water in fallout 3 you take damage and can die for this(Bethesda wouldn't add this if isn't something important)

Game lore is slightly different. I believe where 31,32,33 are is where 'the unitys' secret base is. The last dungeon in the first game. If you can, play Fallout:New Vegas. It's the most modern that is highly loved

It's kind of funny if you think about it, if House had survived new vegas and managed to contact the commonwealth and the institute you could totally see him offering anything he could to the institute for a synthetic body.

strong was easily the worst companion in fallout 4 right after dogmeat. he hates almost everything and he's hardly a fighter, which was weird to me since he should have the strength to yeet molerats into orbit.

20:35 , if the NCR collapsed as we find out in the show then I can see why New Vegas looks in such bad shape at the end of the show too. Perhaps they withdrew and the economy of the Strip fell apart or maybe the NCR in a desperate bid to grab any power and resources they could went to war with Mr. House. Either way not a good outcome
Not to mention Caesar was eventually going to die so I'm sure the Legion collapsed or fragmented as well. I think regardless of what the courier chose at the end of the game all 3 were doomed eventually. After all, war never changes.

Fallout notes on plausible lore and some assumptions being made from the Fallout show. There are many opinions on who or what dropped the initial atomic bombs in 2077. However, it is not necessarily confirmed that Vault Tek dropped the bombs in a direct way, or in a controllable way, even within the Fallout show of 2024. The way of initial bombs dropped, may have occurred is that she (Barb) only made a suggestion they drop the bombs, but the situation between the nations was more complex and could not be that easily manipulated. Yes, the Vault Tek were manipulators, but even they had limits to what they could do, and may had over confidence on what they could do. It is still unknown as to who, (or what) cause the initial dropping of bombs. It should be noted that as seen in Fallout 76 that various types of bombs kept being dropped only a short 25 years later. There are still unverified facts in the Fallout universe.
Playing Fallout 4 on my Laptop right now actually among other things.. mostly just starting my Post Apocalyptic Legend ATM but so far so good. Hopefully THIS never becomes reality an we get to find out whom all winds up being the Real Life versions of "Vault Heroes" an whom turns out to be a "Brotherhood" member or a "Minuteman" or just a common Survivor or Raider.
Here's an idea for your next video... The Forgotten (2004)... I just watched it on Netflix... At first it gave me the Fractured (2019) vibe, and then it suddenly turn into something more sinister... But unlike Fractured, The Forgotten had a happier ending... Please watch it and review it and see what else you can dig up from it. Thanks!

I wish Bethesda finally got it into their heads that after 200+ years the Fallout universe would no longer be in a post apocalyptic survival world but a post-post apocalyptic world. There should be full cities with new walls and housing. Hell, in the common wealth you can find hundreds of standing houses still powered with electricity, yet, nearly all the inhabitants dwell within shanty towns that look like they were built 5 years after the bombs fell and never touched again. The NCR was already established barely a century after the bombs fell expanding outward at record speed, and then there's Diamond city which is so backwards their water management system is a murky pond that is ran by a child.
