The reason she killed the Witches was to keep Nicholas alive. If Rio had bodies to take then she would not focus on Nicholas. This is how Agatha kept him alive for so long.
This is a story of trauma and generational trauma. I love how Billy honored those he inadvertently killed, and unlike Agatha and Wanda, does not pass it along.
I am with you. Didn't 100% stick the landing because each episode could have used just a little bit more. Not everything needed to be answered, but too much was probably left out.
Lord. Agatha didn't give up her son, he was supposed to have died at birth, that's why she asked Rio to let him live. Rio loved Agatha so she allowed Nicky to be born and gave her time with her son. Notice he looked very sick. The theory is Agatha not only killed witches to steal their powers, but to keep Rio busy and somehow sustain herself and Nicholas. The 1 day they don't kill witches Rio comes for Nicky. That can't be a coincidence. For me my questions are how or rather why would Billy's subconscious make it difficult for himself to get through things or put himself in danger? How would his subconscious know Lilias cards or fate? How did Evanora get there? Like how were the trials made? The poison, the grow lights. Billy knew very little about these things so how could his subconscious conjure these things?
I was actually starting to get a little worried about you. When last we heard from you, you had no real sleep ahead of a 4-plus hour drive. I'm just so glad that you're okay.
We learned the things we NEEDED to learn to wrap the show up enough. A show season should always end with the major story points explained to a level where, even if the show never gets another season, fans won't pine away never knowing the big secret story points. If some mysteries are unsolved, that will at least give fans some starting off points for their imaginations (or spawn a billion fanfics?) and if a show IS extended for another season, a few longer-term hooks from which the writers can begin their weaving. We might WANT to know the story of Rio and Agatha, or the truth about the Darkhold, but we don't NEED those things to appreciate the overall story. Many of the recent shows (not just the MCU ones either) have erred by wrapping things up too obsessively neatly (strangling the mood) or leaving all the big juicy bits "for future seasons or movies". Think of the long, long list of things shown or mentioned in the infamous "post credits" scenes Marvel is famous for, which have STILL not, and might never, actually ever happen. (Harry Styles as Thanos's brother anyone?) A show that ends in a definite and tidy manner is so much better.
sending good energy to you and i hope your dog is feeling better too ! glad youre back
Good to see you back

Why? Maybe because she is a remorseless serial killer?
