The answer is Correct 11106 ( Incisional biopsy), 11102 (Tangential biopsy first lesion), 11103 (Tangential biopsy additional lesion), it is appropriate to add modifier 59 for separate lesions(see CPT appendix A for a full rationale). Remember: Add on codes are exempt from modifier 51 not 59.

You are correct the anatomy of skin is Epidermis & Dermis, but for Integumentary coding purposes: Fascia, Muscle and Bone are referenced in chapter 10000 (Integumentary)
Hello there! I need help understanding in 54:48 you are talking about code sequencing and said that the sequencing order is incisional, punch, and last tangential. I'm looking at the illustration in 57:10 and the order changes. Can you please explain why the order changes? Im chunning my book and want to do it right. Thanks for your help!
One mistake in first question that 1) only one primary biopsy code should be reported, if more then one biopsy is performed at same visit.. Am I right r wrong??

It reference to these free videos, they should aid you in obtaining your medical certification. Most employers require that you have one to two years medical coding experience.
Hello, i would like to say thank you first for this very helpful videos i appreciate with bottom of my heart. i like to add something as well one of the sample question for destruction you said correct is D, i got so confused how can we multiply the add on code also add a modifier on it? 17003 is an add on code and covers for 14 lesions and we have only 13 on the scenario why are we add an add on code? thank you in advance..
@@tugbask9227 the key word each directs us to code each lesion separately. I agree that you do not have to use a modifier on an add on code, because it is implied. It is not technically wrong, but not needed.

Modifier 59 on an add-on code is not necessary, because an add-on code implies that the procedure is distinct. Great question.
