Fast forward to 2019 and I am working as a Cardiology coder coding all hospital procedures for our 10 physicians. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my job! I am currently studying for my CPC exam in a few days and absolutely hate learning about cardio system coding. It is just a lot more information than the rest of the systems for CPT coding in my opinion. I have to thank you Mrs. Jay and the AMCI team for helping me along with a lot of other people understand this system better and helping me study for this exam!

Thank you so much! Self-studier, here, and your videos are so helpful. Working from 2023 CPC in the CABG section (pp. 252-253). The guidelines say to bundle radial artery on p. 252 but they tell to report upper extremity arteries on p. 253. So very confused!

Glad it was helpful! Yes the radial artery is the upper extremity anything with points of attachment that branch of the upper trunk (chest), arms.... and lower extremity points of attachments branch off of the lower trunk (pelvis). Legs...

Question on example of conversion Pacemaker from single to dual system. You didnt code for the previously placed electrode that was removed. Which makes D not completely accurate. Am I reading the scenario correctly? Wouldn't C be the correct answer?

Code 33214 code description already includes the removal, the testing and insertion of the new pulse generator. Good question!

when the radial artery and internal mammary artery are both used why is 35600 used once and not x2 used with a modifier indicating 2 different arteries were harvested?
