Stayed with 10.5 this go around but added the Autoflex shaft which brought my launch from around 9-10/1800 to 13-14/2100 at around 150 ball speed. Picked up 20 yds of carry with the Standard Stealth over my previous driver. Been very happy with it so far.
Just put a dianama d+ limited 60 tx in my sim driver, playing at 44.5, tipped 1inch, at d4, with 9 degs of loft and lemmer never found the sweet spot as many times in a row as I am now!! A good shaft and specs can truly do wonder!! Tbh I’m giving more credit to the shorter playing lenght as I am finding the middle allot more!
That's a nice idea to try before you buy, it's so hard to try clubs on a course. Must admit I don't change clubs too often. I find that it is too easy to hit max speed in a simulator. I tried the sim2 max last year and l liked it prefered my M2. Then tried at a local shop where the pro let's you try on the course. He had a sim 2 with a bit more loft, tried it on the course and it just felt great really clicked. So hard to get an idea of feel inside.
Love it Trottie. I am experiencing the same issue with my TM Drivers. I have just gone back to my SIM2 driver 10.5. I purchased a Stealth plus 9 degree and It bombs but I am experiencing problems with consistency with it. With The SIM2 I can control the flight and hit more fairways.
I got fitted at Scottsdale golf's Taylormade tour van event. I ended up with a ventus black velocore at 46". I opted for the 10.5 plus head in the end and have just purchased an 8g weight for the back as they didn't have any at the event.
@@glenscott3083 it was very good. Are you there for the Callaway tour van fitting? They have all the ventus velocore, tour ad, tensei pro, autoflex and a load more shafts to choose from. They have the adapter system that allows them to connect the shafts into any brand of head. It was the scottsdale staff who fitted me and then you have a nosey around the tour truck whilst your club is being built. I managed to get a 1° and a 1.5° tour sleeve from the man on the van 👌
Thank you Chris great numbers , They asked Tiger what would be the most important piece of advice you would can give a club golfer,, and Tiger Said more Loft ! lol ,
Just so difficult to get a good fitting here in the UK, my last fitting was a 3 wood with PXG, My biggest issue is seeing a closed face, so fitter puts me in a crappy cramped range bay which makes me swing over the top because I don't trust the space in their, and then wants to fit me to a lofted up closed face that would just goes 50 years left and then wonders when I say no thanks and walk away empty handed. As for driver I've just given up, I'm swinging about 115-120 depending on the weather etc, had one fitter wanting to fit me to a soft reg flex 12*. I just fit myself now to a point and accept I'm leaving some distance out there.
Always love the content brother! Been dealing with carry/yardage issues. Swinging 109 mph yet cannot get carry numbers over 260. Have always gone with low spin low launch shafts with 8-9.5 lofts. Even when my spin numbers are down in the low 2000s the numbers don't go any further. Should I be going for a high launch low spin shaft? Not seeing too much difference when testing from the TaylorMade bag at the club at this time unfortunately and using the Quad. Thanks brother! Cheers! Luke
Hi Trottie. Very good, interesting and straight on lesson. Thank you. What do you mean by heavy swing weights? What is the benefit whit heavy swingweights and how heavy should it be according to you? Best regards Stefan
Thanks Stefan. Heavy swingweights mean heavy head weights usually by 4 - 6 grams (2 - 3 sw's). For the case of driver, more weight / mass in the head can lead to a heavier hit / more efficient smash factor. This could lead to more yardage providing the PLYR can handle the additional weight.
Trying to figure out my loft atm as well. I’ve been gaming 10deg (+1 from standard) and been going ok but it is very spinny. So today I tried 7.5 deg (-1.5) and 8 deg (-1). To my eye it looked like no where near enough spin. I thought they were dropping out of the sky, but the range I practice at you hit into the water and it has a 300y carry to clear it and at 7.5 deg and 8 deg despite looking like they were falling out of the sky I landed far more over the water then usual. Usually only pulls clear the water for me but I was clearing it with my slight fade shot shape. But I felt like I had to really swing hard to get the ball in the air. I think in the end I’ve gone in the middle at 9 deg (standard) to try and get a happy medium. Will see how it goes 🤷♂️
Currently have a 10.5 sim 2 max, I play a fade, but my ball flight is high, hitting around 240-260 yards. I feel like my ball flight i causing me to lose distance. Would lowering the loft help get it down?
Hey Trottie, Love the Vids as always…! How many g’s have you gone in the TSS weight in the back of your Stealth +?. Knowing your a big CB guy, have you tested the new Tensei orange 1K? Keep up the great content my man 👍🏽
Hey mate thanks for the comment. Ummmm I think this was 6g then a spot of hot melt & no I haven’t personally but only because I’m an Accra loyalist at the moment & im driving it good. I do like the Tensei orange though as a fitting option when I fit guys
Hey Chris, thank you for the great content, really appreciate. Q: Is it advisable to get an 8° for the same reasons you refer to in the video and just loft it up, e.g to 9.5°, when the swing is not going so well? Or should you go the other way, rather get the higher degree loft head and turn it down when you want to show some muscle?
That all depends on your shot patterns & your miss. Remember an 8° moved up closes the face & a 9° moved down opens the face. So, if you miss left you want that open face and vice versa if you’re a slicer
Lowering loft only opens the face if the club isn't soled with the face aimed at the target. If the player soles it with face aimed at target, it's at the stated loft on the sleeve. See Tom Wishon's video on adjustable drivers.
Hey Trotts! (Or anyone that can lend some advice) with the later / newer TM Technology we have the ability to adjust our own loft n lie on our Drivers. We don’t have Trackman at home… so How do we know how to adjust to max out our drives?
Look at peak height & land angles & go out on your most played home track when the FW conditions are medium firm and check run out in comparison to your previous driver. Max'd out will be hitting the ground and taking a large first bounce opposed to hitting and stopping

5 degrees out to in Trottie? Surely that’s not intentional
Can anyone tell me the weight of the steath plus head ???? Under200 grams ??
Should be without sleeve yea
don't slower swing < 100mph (like 90% of the world) need a higher loft?
All depends on the delivery of the club. Generally speaking you’d need more spin but it’s all dependent on launch numbers
