I've had 2 calipers seize on my old '06 Element in 200k miles. Replaced them with remanufatured ones. It doesn't look all that harder to rebuild them. Great video as usual. Thanks.
Great video. I just noticed some noise yesterday and I think it’s my front - left wheel. I suspect it’s the caliper or another brake issue, but it’s good to see you take it all apart and explain everything in your expert way. Thx!
Nice vid 👍Just swapped out a original rear caliper on my 20 year old Honda FRV but im rebuilding the original just for the heck of it and have it as spare its nice oem caliper. Yeah do a video on the hoses i need to swap mine i started to do it but the nut wasnt budging and i needed the car and didnt want the job turning into an all day job 😂 think im gonna need to heat it

Good luck! They can be a pain to get off. I may look at installing some braided lines this summer.

If you use anti seize on the bolts it helps next time. Good video!
Thanks for the tip!
The pumping of the brakes part looked like it was trying to pinch one off. 😅
A laxative might speed things up. I had a foreskin joke loaded up for that one but I didn't use it.
The biggest reason i see to rebuild calipers is ..almost every"new" caliper is a reman.. so just Diy and save a crap load of $$
That's true. I was looking closer at the box for the Cardone caliper and it said "rebuilt" in tiny little letter.
Love your videos, I have an 05 green element, I'm thinking about going to " elements on the dragon" are you going too?
I don't believe I'll make it this year, but I sure hope to get there soon.
That seal was too big to go in the Hole. ( That’s what she said)
There's always time for lube.
