i'm a metal fan but have always loved gorillaz. my bf is a big big metalhead and wasn't fond of them but when he came with me to see them live and they played this he went WILD
I love that ending, that funky outro that just elevates you into the gates of Heaven after that bombastic, depressing love poem! This is why I love Gorillaz: It's a musical force of nature that's not afraid with the natural order of things, even it's own makeup of songs.
Unpopular opinion: The live version was a little too heavy and the studio recording is really under appreciated and amazing and even though the live one was really good the studio one will always be my favourite Welp
Saw them play it during the Now Now Tour in Brooklyn, I think, a bit over a year ago. Kinda upset that on spotify, this song is one of the only ones with both original and live renditions, except the live rendition isn’t the heavy version.
Still haven't yet had the pleasure to see em live, but once it's possible, I sincerely hope they bring this back into the setlist! Can't believe how heavy they've made it! Favorite track on Demon Days for me, just unbelievable!
I cannot decide which i prefer, this or the original studio version. Imagine if they did both. Just chucked this live version ending on the end of the studio version and intertwined it in somehow. My god.
Feel good inc sounds good when ppl make metal covers imo, o green world would sound good metal, every planet we reach is dead live is probably the heaviest shit ive heard from gorillaz
@@oceanbacon3535 Lmao I was there when it was written. You're right. Damon just has a sweet voice I couldn't imagine gorillaz being any heavier than everything else listed.
I was blown away by how fucking HEAVY it sounds live. Very well may have been my favourite part of the concert.
Although I didn't go to this concert, it was really awesome seeing Every Planet We Reach is Dead performed live in the Humanz tour.
this version went fucking intense

Metal Gorillaz. I like it. Really adds to the atmosphere of the lyrics.
Heaviest Gorillaz song
Don't think so. Listen to "Murdoc Is God"
@@lavrvm4656 I find this to be way heavier.
White light is more heavy
@@josue2058 lol what
@Snow Lizard Did you even listen to this video?
So much better live
I like the original a lot more personally

That was very nicely put
The ending always gets me; wish that was in the studio recording

Amazing song. Holy shit it won't age
This song sounds better live that the studio recording. Most likely because it sounds like a heavy metal song when they play it live😂

Welp
I agree, I prefer the bluesy jazz over the heavy distortion. The live version was beautiful except for the lead guitar.
Also there's a strong ass high pitched whistle coming from Damons mic every time he says a word with the letters S or T in it.
Rudi Van Wyk I think that’s just normal for a lot of people, and especially can get more noticeable over loud live microphones
I like the live version of the song when it was performed on the original Demon Days tour. It’s a lot less heavier than how they do it now.
Maybe too heavy hear but I think it’s fun to hear it that heavy

That ending is soooo amazing
Epic metal(ish) version with an epic choir
This song was so fucking incredible live, genuinely life changing performance

My childhood ;)
Hell yeah I love this version almost better than the original
I always thrash away to this fucking masterpiece. God only knows... it's getting hard to follow through...
This song goes so hard
Damn near made me cry
Gorillaz gone semi-Metal
Crowd did not know this song
Paragon jonas i know..... so sad😢😢😢
this is a masterpiece
Damon is a dream
for some reason the studio version of this always reminded me of a Paul McCartney & Wings song.
Demon days would be awesome with a more heavy style

Don't even get it, the ending crescendo in the studio version was so f*cking good, why'd they not recreate it live? Unbelievably disappointing.
TIIIIME IS A LOWWWWW DONT YOU KNOWWWW
This song shouldn't be so heavy.
Starreacher yes. it. should
Ik
EXACTLY!!
sounds better that way imo
Yes it should
I threw up at this concert 😑
