Mark VII sounds good. At first I thought you were playing through one of the bogners'

I’d kill to hear some more from the DII. Especially some clean and those sweet, sweet gain tones you are getting.

If you look back at my older videos I have at least one more D60 video…. that particular amp is a different amp from the most recent video (I traded the first one and ended up getting this new one recently)

@@RedB4Black Dope! Your DII vid is the best tone I’ve heard from that amp on RUclips. Convinced me how good the Fanes really are.

@@jasonwebbguitar thanks man! Yeah it was sounding really good that day. I absolutely love the Fat Bottom cab with Fanes… makes everything sound killer!

Sounds killer! Mind telling me which cab and speakers you're using in this demo? I just got my Mark VII a couple weeks ago and I'm struggling to get it dialed, and I've played Mark Series amps for decades. I'm beginning to think the one I received has an issue somewhere.

Thanks! It's going through the bogner uberkab with v30s/T75s. It is a front-loaded cab. Yeah, dialing it in can be tricky...I have a love hate relationship with this amp. It's actually up for sale now. But man I think it was sounding pretty killer today. Try the setting you see in the video. I am boosting it out front with a Suhr Koko boost - mid boost. Highly recommend that pedal.

@@RedB4Black I’ve learned over the years that I have to live with a Mark Series amp for a while to learn its quirks and which cab(s) it likes - they’re fickle critters for sure. That said, I’m really beginning to think there’s something up with the one I received. It behaves nothing at all like my past Mark amps and sounds thin. I also gigged a Mark V 90 watt head for about three years as well as my old Mark 2 C+. I think I’m going to take my amp to Atlanta next weekend and compare it to the Mark VII head they have in stock at Guitar Center. At least I’ll be able to determine if something’s up with the one I received. Never ends, does it? 😂
