I'm surprised you used the old style coupler when you know they only last about a year. Most of those pumps do 2 1/2 million revs a day. The (oem) couplers have 16 wearing surfaces. You can hear them @ 6:36. You should have use the other "single spring coupling". It has no wearing surfaces hence quieter and last longer. That Spiralink coupler is also easier to install. We only use them now.

Use the SPIRALINK coupler. It is easier to install, lasts longer, easier on the bearings (motor and bearing
assembly) , and quieter
Spirallink are the best.
Thanks!
You might have wanted to use the SPIRALINK coupling as the next time the OEM coupling breaks it could take out your bearing assembly.
those r always fun
China!!
I would have used the Spiralink coupler . They are made in North America.
