I have been an RRT for NINETEEN YEARS and I have never assisted a pulmonologist with this type of procedure. In fact, I have NEVER heard of this procedure. What a HUGE injustice to my patience AND MYSELF - as a severe asthmatic with two previous intubations in my teenage years. WOWWWW! The cause of the asthma attack is hyperventilation of the lungs, no one said this before our scientific research. And so I have been asking scientists for 30 years to spend 30 seconds to check this (1986).
You will still have attacks, but they will probably be minimal impact because you are not closing up anymore. My worry is you fix one area and then it starts happening in another one.
