Note that the Blight itself was able to cross Europe due to graves/cemetery and also casualties from battles. Not even Europe was safe. East Europe has already fallen and every soldiers/players are forced to retreat,I also think the Austrians might try to retreat from it's country through the balkans (because mountains cuh).

Eastern Europe hasn't fallen but the ottomans are heaving a issue with the blight most likely is that they abandoned their Balkan territories so they can defend their homeland wich means the Balkan countries will start to rise
@alrf503 There were a considerable amount of Muslims and Turks in the Balkans before the Genocides and Migrations, there is a chance of them holding in the Mountains of Bosnia, Bulgaria, Albania and etc.
@@user-jt3bf8ws5q true my theory is that the Albanians became overrun by the blight and that the Macedonians Serbs and Bulgarians are holding the major cities and that the IMRO with the rest of the Balkans are planing a wide spread push into captured blight territories

Ok just wanted to say this but the infected didnt rip through all of denmark to reach copenhagen. what happend was that they sent ships to vardo fortress to acquire bodies. These bodies spread through the crew and eventually copenhagen. Just like san sebastian.

@@stephanienave4538 HMS Undaunted(British) is *not* the ship that brought virus to Copenhagen. It was two investigation ships(Danish) sent to Vardohus Fortress and brought back the virus to Copenhagen(attempting to bury their comrades).
This makes since considering the bridges didnt exist till roughly the 1970s
Theoretically, Rome (and Jerusalem) would be likely be uncapturable for the zombies, as the sheer amount of holiness coming from there would probably fend them off. I find the idea of the pope going around in the pope-mobile with a crucifix fending off zombies amusing however.

The most confusing thing about the lore in G&B for me, is the fact that its meant to be the rise of the undead because hell is overflowing.
By that logic the undead thing should be global yet it spreads like a plague.
A curse or a divine punishment (for the napoleonic war) would make more sense
From what we know, It starts in graveyards. A city with zombies near it will have there dead rise from graves. How this works? Idk. But we do know that some graves (like graves in Britain) don't have zombies coming out of them. So the only logical conclusion is that zombies have to be near a grave for the dead to rise. How this works? I have no clue

The blight is still a virus, just that one of its symptoms causes those not blessed to be possessed and become a cannibal.
The virus acts kind of like the vector for the blight, without the virus/with ONLY the virus, they just simply die.

the reason kaub has the players on the offensive side is because the nations are retreating to eastern europe, hence Blucher demanded Pfalzgrafenstein castle to be secured for the Prussian army. same for catacombes de paris, the french are evacuating.
Well-made video with realistic and lore-based events! However, from what I know Paris doesn't entirely fall and is merely cut off between the sides of the Paris River. Also, a landing of the blight in the U.K. is mentioned in a newspaper lore drop in-game, specifically from the ship of San Sebastian.
It mentions a ship being quarantined off the coast of Dover(?), not a landing of the blight outright.
@@Legovarrr Yeah but it is reasonable to assume that the blight has spread in that port. Because, tbh I remember that the majority of the ship got infected and a few stragglers rowed off the rowing boat that saved you at San Sebastian. But I do see the point you're making as valid. I guess we'll see?
@@The_Bench_Sketch The majority of the ship was infected and the survivors did get off, but they rowed to shore into Spain where they met up with Spanish rebels.
The HMS Undaunted is unlikely to be the same ship to be quarantined in Dover, as it is unlikely that the ship was able to adjust course for Dover during its time at sea. Considering the crew turned into undead and all.

@@The_Bench_Sketch If I recall correctly Vardohus Fortress happens first in the timeline, *then* San Sebastian. Speaking of, we would have received reports in later newspapers about the spread of the blight in Great Britain, considering that Britain was blockading Denmark in 1815 in a cruel, warped retelling of the events that occurred in 1807.

i can see the US actually doing what's right and closing off graves and having guards defend them and taking the blight seriously and quaratine graves to keep people safe with some people near churches being more safe.

Blight probably spread to Sweden after Leipzig (due to the fact Sweden is non responsive to the calls of the coalition, its safe to assume most major cities in the Spain, or at least north of Spain have fallen too. The battle against the blight is Arleady lost, Austria, Poland, Prussia, Confederation Of The Rhine, Denmark, Sweden all of those countries have arleady fallen to the blight, with France probably joining them soon

@GrantDumlao nearly every capital in Europe has fallen to the blight, Sweden and Russian Empire didn't respond to coalition countries after battle of Leipzig, for years now, its safe to assume any govermental structure has collapsed.

The only part that doesn't make sense is that they should still be fighting by the time the Battle of Waterloo happens, France is still fighting Prussia and Britain given the fact they team up to hold off the blight for as long as they can, which means that during "La Haye Sainte", "Hougoumount", and "La Ferme d'en-Haut" either the troops never heard of the blight until then, they were still fighting because they didnt hear about the coalition, or because they wanted to still fight.
From what I know Prussia France and the uk allied and tried to liberate Europe from the blight and those maps were there attempts but in the lore they all lost.
Maybe they just came together and happened to stand together at that same spot - bit of a stretch though
No in the lore they were the only countries(brittania, france, and prussia) that could spare soldiers for the assault and hold of waterloo, so thats why because austria and russia were having the bulk of the problem so thats why

@@HOLADARYA_PRODUCTIONS They’re not fighting it would make no sense. The virus has taken over like half of Europe at that point so they have an alliance. They just so happened to choose Waterloo to hold the line against the zombies in this timeline just like Napoleon chose Waterloo in our timeline

I would like for you to remember that, although the disease is called "The Blight" it is also called "The Empire of the Undead"
I really thought that G&B was still during war Napoleonic Wars. I was expecting some of the Enemy Forces to be Prisoners of War or got news of the Outbreak to help wipe out the Infected.
Not to mention the opportunities that could've helped them gain territories because of the impact but I don't see any way this would be beneficial since this event happend worldwide.
@@StarTrainer1 I believe during the events of San-Sebastion the british troops (if you play as one) were released from being prisoners on terms of clearing the zombies
that happens in San Sebastian actually before the map started a day earlier the french encountered the blights first hand and held them off but we're arguing about letting the British and Portuguese prisoners of war for extra man power when they eventually did aka the map starting even the British were confused on why they were doing this until they went outside the house you start in the map

they actually originated in the ottoman empire, not southern Ukraine/ Southwestern Russian empire. but after the russians returned from the war with them they started contracting it and turning, the virus didnt start spreading until napoleon encounters the russians at belarus river berezina, since this was the first campaign in the stort line it mostlikely should of started in belarus. during the retreat of russia and the russians were chasing him out and picking off forces

That’s assuming Napoleon was infected at all! Remember, he’s the Emperor of France, AKA, the most important man to the French Empire? I doubt he’d travel without men to guard him and a priest to ward off infected.

i actually found a Map that has the same thing as Europe, Black lines Everywhere in Europe reaching from Spain to Russia and the surrounding nations in Europe
(the European Map is in the Endless mode of the Bavarian Map. go to the second story building next to the Cemetary and look at the table with the candle on it, it'll show it how it looks like)
(and the Cause of the Blight infection were Russian Cultists that tried to Save Russia but made it worse, making the Dead Rise)

Prussia hasnt fallen mate, yes they on their last leg but they havent been taken over as they still have territory in the west part of their country
Someone tell me what happened to the Turkish because the blight only corresponded with Christianity in G&B lore, and the Turkish where not Christian at all, so realistically, Türkiye would have no chance at effectively fighting the blight

every religion is affected by the blight, its just that religions like the hindus, muslims, buddhists and other religions have a harder time fighting the blight due to the lack of priests
