A drizzly morning led to record-setting evening rainfall on this early fall day in Tacoma. Regular service of the Sound Transit Tacoma Link Hilltop T Line Extension began over a week ago, on 16 September 2023.

Nice footage! I'm glad there's at least one person recording footage of this streetcar! As someone who lives on the northern side of the metro area, I was wondering how the service has been for these first two weeks? I know it's running every 12 minutes, a disappointing departure from the promises of 10 minute frequency. Is it at least a nice ride?

Yeah, I'm surprised there hasn't been more footage of it on RUclips, but I'm glad to do my part in documenting it for those who can't get down here to see for themselves. My first impressions are hesitantly positive, the decrease in service is definitely a mild disappointment, but 12 minute frequency is still pretty decent all things considered. I need to ride it more before I can form a clear opinion (more videos to come this fall).

@@xoverit Sometimes I've thought of visiting a restaurant on the hilltop from up north in Lynnwood, but if I'm being honest, it would just be an excuse to ride the streetcar 😆.
