I have never been on a cruise, as I have a perception that I would be treated like cattle and that does not appeal to me. This experience seems completely different. Love the idea of 20 restaurants instead of giant dining halls. Very informative
I honestly didn't feel like that at all - we had plenty of space and I agree that the dining in multiple restaurants was so unique and fun! Thank you for watching :)
Cruising on many of the newer ships isnt like that at all anymore - especially since the pandemic cruising is still not as full as before the pandemic as many are still shying away from cruising at the moment. The last couple is was on the ships are so big there is plenty of room even in busy areas....

such a great boat! and the fleet for Virgin is growing one unique thing about the virgin cruise is its a no kids cruise which may be why you dont have the usual buffets and a few more upscale type restaurants.

I meant to watch these cruise videos when you posted them several months ago lol. I can tell that Virgin different than other cruise lines that I’ve sailed with. No dining halls and no buffet. I’ve done three Cruises so far. I’ve sailed with Royal Caribbean (in 2014), Carnival (in 2018), and Princess (in 2023). I learned that Princess is lot different from Carnival and Royal Caribbean. The biggest difference is the mature crowd, meaning there is a lot of old people on board and not as many young people. Also, Princess doesn’t have all the fun amenities that Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian have. Virgin definitely seems like an interesting line and I’ll have to try it out sometime.

Well...I was on a cruise around Manhattan once with my parents...a vessel called Circle Line. If that counts LOL. This was around 1978. Pretty cool from what I remember.
We purchased the Romance Package as well for our very first cruise ever and we are doing a Virgin Cruise! Thank you for sharing the information on that. I am so excited to hear how that turned out. We sail in November!

Looks like a really cool ship. The meals looked delicious and overall great cruise so far. Can't wait for 2 and 3!!! We used to cruise at least 2 times a year. The last one we went on was Adventure of the seas. We got off that ship March 8th 2020 when the covid madness started. We're waiting until things get back to normal to book again.

I sailed on the Valiant Lady out of Barcelona in October. Truly was the best week ever. We did all the stairs, too. I ate like a pig but actually lost 2 lbs. So crazy! We also had the Splash of Romance package and absolutely loved it!!! Great vlog and info. Thanks for sharing.

Beware of different cruise packages and what they charge. Most cell phone plans do not work on cruise ships. International roaming plans only cover land and not cruise ships. You may end up getting a large bill for a week at sea. While at sea you might get charged high rates for wi-fi internet. The liquor tab can add up for drinkers. Some also charge for specialty services like massage, day spas, special shore tours etc.

I've been on two low budget cruises, no name required. We had a lot of fun, but (this was a long time ago) I did not like the envelopes for cash tipping at the end of the cruise. We did not use the dining room and only wanted to tip our room steward. I had to quickly win a few hand of blackjack to get the cash I needed to do so. The other thing I didn't like was disembarkation . It took forever. There was no food or drinks. We just waited a couple of hours until our color was called to leave the ship. Virgin looks awesome! Thanks for the video!

Port (left side) is red and starboard (right side) is green… great for navigation and other ships passing. Its the years of sailing in the military that made new comment. Beware of different cruise packages and what they charge. Most cell phone plans do not work on cruise ships. International roaming plans only cover land and not cruise ships. You may end up getting a large bill for a week at sea. While at sea you might get charged high rates for wi-fi internet. The liquor tab can add up for drinkers. Some also charge for specialty services like massage, day spas, special shore tours etc.

I've been on two low budget cruises, no name required. We had a lot of fun, but (this was a long time ago) I did not like the envelopes for cash tipping at the end of the cruise. We did not use the dining room and only wanted to tip our room steward. I had to quickly win a few hand of blackjack to get the cash I needed to do so. The other thing I didn't like was disembarkation . It took forever. There was no food or drinks. We just waited a couple of hours until our color was called to leave the ship. Virgin looks awesome! Thanks for the video!

Front of ship = bow (forward). Back of ship = fantail (back aft). The ship has red and green colors on their respective sides of the ship. Port (left side) is red and starboard (right side) is green… great for navigation and other ships passing. Its the years of sailing in the military that made new comment. I’m going to check out the cruise… thanks!
