Thank you Robby, we had an awesome time! Congratulations on your new Bolt Kit! 🎉 Looks great!
Thank you for all your help in setting it all up!!!
Congratulations on your win!
I miss the day to day bodywork videos. They are so educational. Gearing up to restore an xj this summer, need all the help I can get!
I won't lie, even though all the fun videos were awesome and congrats on the win Robbie. I am glad you are back to restoration work in your videos. You and your team are absolute craftsmen. I look forward to watching your attention to detail and that brings back some faith in humanity for me. Also, you are more wholesome than some other channels and that is a bonus.
This craftsmanship is rare these days but everyone's charging as if they do this level of work
I agree, I learn so much from them.
Honestly Robbie was made to do body work. He has such a keen eye for those obscure damaged areas and is a perfectionist. Wish we had a body guy here like him🌺
The nuts and bolts guys have setup the way it should be. Automatic reordering is the best. Nice job
At 12k+ before freight they should have it all worked out.
Hillbilly seems like a very experienced mechanic and hard worker
Mad skills with engines and equipment too. If it wasn't for him Matt's derby car would've been out in 10 seconds, and Matt and crew aren't exactly amateurs either! Shows how much Hillbilly actually knows and his ability to problem solve fast. Smart guy. He's truly a master of many crafts, hard worker and seems like a good bloke!
That’s pretty nifty that the inner door panel and regulator comes out like that, every time I’ve had to do a regulator or glass I end up a bloody mess.
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊good work
True but did you notice what isn't there? Not a single inner support to keep something out of the cab with you. Kinda scary if you ask me.
@@lloydfancett3039 You know what else you don't see? A pervasive problem with those doors being a safety hazard in crashes.
I saw that design and I asked God why no one thought of that in about 1950? Why have we been fighting window regulators for so many decades?!?
Congratulations tubers on the win , Robby youre eye for detail should be a award deal . Love watching you do you're stuff . And i sure miss dinner 😢😢
Robby, Where is Dinner? What is he up to?
Dinner moved closer to his Fiance.
@@delbutler885 Thank you for satisfying my curiosity. I'm happy to know he's happy. It's understandable that he would want to move to be closer to his fiancé but he is missed.
The world needs more people like Hillbilly. He seems to be good at every manual/mechanical task he encounters. I wish I had more friends like him.
Getting back to the body shop work, you probably really miss Dinner. I'm sure I'm not the only one that misses his smile and jokes with The Boss!
I enjoy seeing what you have to go through to fix things properly
I question the need to spend the time to "properly" fix the body of a work truck. If I worried about every dent and ding on my truck, I'd have it in the shop half of its life. Cosmetic damage occurs almost every time I use it off road. I'd have to have an advance crew with saws and pruners ahead of the vehicle in order to avoid the "Colorado Pin Stripes" that happen.
Robby, I enjoyed watching you show off your craft, it's always entertaining to watch how a King got his Castle. 👍
Man, having the right tools sure allows you to do nice work quickly!
Congratulations on your nuts and bolts. (There's something I never thought I'd say to someone, but they bring you so much joy.)😂
Hillbilly & Demri deserve part ownership of trophy since they were the ones Insisting on New Engine
Congrats on the win, what a ride.. you were smokin , I was worried there for a second, but you held on for the win.. GO ROBBY!!!
Shake and Bake!
Without a doubt, you are the "Metal Whisperer". So good to see someone that understands the stress the metal is under and fixes dents without using a full can of mud. Plus, your painting skills are second to none!
Robby's body repair skills are perfection and puts him in a class all by himself.
Congrats on the win. You went all out. I was disappointed that Matt and Paul brought cars that barely moved. Would have loved everyone on their A games.
None of them had that much time I kinda believe that was planned by the other team lol cause it was thier baby and was trying to promote it and they waited to inform Matt Robby Paul Rudy so they couldn't build a great car lol but it back fired on them
They all did ok tho
im digging the bridge spot key pulling system, what a game changer for production shops
I have never seen the key system used before for dent pulling. Great item for the perfectionist You are. Enjoy your videos.
Systems like the Bolts and Nuts have been around for years BUT you had a route salesman coming by to order and stock. This makes it easier for the shop to stay on top of inventory and delivery.
Great video, I enjoy that you are explaining the process on how the repairs are completed. Stay safe.
The patient you have chasing those tiny imperfections is impeccable. I don't have the patience for that.
I agree that these repair videos are what brought me to your channel in the first place and I love seeing you back at them. I think the first build I watched all the way through was the big rig repair. Thank you for doing these again. Always remember to stat and tack.
Your patience with that rocker panel is admirable. I’d love to have your knowledge, AND your patience.
Good morning Robby i always enjoy videos like this seeing the work going into stuff like this people never get to see and they dont understand the time and work it takes to get everything done. I am looking forward to your next video
Thanks Robby for fixing our truck. Looks like it’s going to turn out awesome!
I would love to see another full restoration project like you did on the Golden Nugget!
Something old worth restoring with a great backstory.
Expertly watched. Enjoyed the content. Get well Hillbilly.
I watch everyone of your videos and I just wanna say I enjoy the builds and different content, but these collision repairs are where it's at!😍 Would love to see more of these!!
Nice to see y'all doing body work again. We like it when you mix it up.
Robby, try to persuade Matt and Paul to make a similar investment in fasteners. It would definitely be worthwhile.
This was cool to see. You don't have to be over the top in every video. Seeing you work on a clients vehicle is also entertaining. Please make sure you give us the end of this truck as well. I like the "start to finish" of your repairs.
After watching all of your build videos I really enjoyed watching this.
Safety Glasses Robby????😮
This is what I really enjoy about your channel. Back to the basics.
Mad respect for your skills! Robby , you go from building rock buggies & derby cars to pulling dents without a second thought 😁👍🏻
I love learning from you!
Thanks Robbie. I work for an auto dealership and sell lots of collision parts. It is interesting to see the real vehicles instead of just looking at catalogue pictures.
Hey Robbie, did you know that that is not a 2017 Dodge Ram, that is a 2017 Ram. In 2009, the Chrysler Group restructured the Dodge brand. Cars and minivans went under the Dodge nameplate, while its trucks, the Dodge Ram and Dodge Dakota, became Ram trucks. Since the 2010 model year, Ram has been a separate part of the same company that focuses solely on trucks. BEST TRUCKS EVER MADE!!! Love the show keep up the good work.
Bobby is the apex of premier body work ...Hillbilly is a huge partner...well done.
Congrats on winning the derby.
Nice to see ya getting back in to some paint/body work. Nice job at the derby! Enjoyed all the videos I watched on it.
Thank you for showing the process. It is very interesting and I love the skills you have to make it look easy.
Awesome, I knew you could do it. The motor was a great idea, your wife is awesome backing you up. By the way, what's going on with your brothers stuff being stolen?
Sure do miss Dinner, his humor was priceless
Somebody say something? "Where is Big Dinner?" He left a lot of us heartbroken.
When I was in your shop last week, I said a carpenter should not work on the door handle of a truck. Now I see you working on the Dodge truck holding a carpenters framing square! There's hope for me yet! Thanks for the fastners Robby, and taking the time to walk down the street to look at my 98 Silverado and explain the door handle repair to me. I am back at home base in Oregon, resupplying and laundry, appointment to have handle repaired properly. Hey, you forgot to slap my fender! I guess I'll just have to stop by next my trip south! LAB.... THE BEST!!.
Wait till collision glue systems become mainstream - no grinding of the paint to attach metal keys. Of course you can still glue to bare metal if you need to, but don't have to grind after removing keys. Some glues can hold to over 1200lbs. Tension pulls with glue and porta power units to remove large dents. Major time savers.
Man I love your content Robby! My wife’s 2023 4Runner just got hit in a parking lot here in Texas. Wish I lived closer to have you guys fix it! Congrats on all your success. You guys deserve it!
Robby is nuts & has gone bolts & is happy with a woody ! Lol I wish I had all these fancy nice tools when I did collision repair . I drilled holes used a pull rod & soldered the hole in . Old school shit !
Everybody had big hopes for veterans, but Mat and Paul unwillingly shit the bed a bit(they will have to come back one more time to clear their reputation, they will Have to). And you showed them all how to make a show while winning it. Bravo.
Yeah really, pretty embarrassing to talk up how good you are all this time and flash your trophy wall just to go into the pit with one gear and a motor running leaner than an olympian 😂😂 I swear Rudy's car lasted longer than Matt's!
Great job robbie and team ,congrats on your win .
Time to get back to paying the bills 😀 The work videos are always interesting and informative to watch! Been really enjoying all your videos! Thanks Layton Fam! Take care! Eddie
Awesome job guys. This project is really coming along nicely guys. Can't wait to see more videos soon my friends. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God Bless.
Robby just make sure you get that snow cat fixed up before winter. Don't be like Matt and never get it done.
A good nuts and bolts program is a must have in a successful shop.
Good to see you guys back doing auto body repairs. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Thanks for showing some actual bodywork! I mean, I love the derbies, the wrecker games, the recoveries, etc, but actual metalworking is something I really enjoy! (Watching it, not doing it!)
21:21 Haven't watched AVE for yrs. Now I have Don Layton ... hahaaah
Your dent pulling tool gives a whole new meaning to "he keyed my car"!
Awesome, thanks for sharing and taking us along
Yee.....

Chicken for lunch,
Shake it,
And bake it😊
The way the paint held up. Wow man. You do a good job. Nothing flaked. It's quite amazing honestly. If that car doesn't promote your painting ability idk what will.
Great videos. Something similar at Arthur Tussik VW Jetta. The quarter panel repair, puts the wheel well arch line back in. 3:47 mark.
That bolt and nut set-up is OUTSTANDING! It is very nice how they make re-orders a snap as well….nice product👍👍👍
Thanks for body work vid! Love to learn from you guys!
I can honestly say I enjoy these Body shop videos
Most entertaining and very educational thank you Robbie
Nice work guys!
Great Video! Glad to see your content get back to... what you guys do!
So jealous of the hardware! Always a stopping point and another trip to the store. Congrats
Robbie, Hillbilly, Cody, Demri and your children are all a wonderful family - but I have to admit I really miss seeing Dinner
Good quality work, guys!
I love working on those 4th gen dodges easy to work on body wise
Congratulations on the win and great job with the truck and God bless from GA and stay safe
I am exactly like Robby when it comes to bolts and nuts. That rack is a dream. I joke that my mini shop, which is a 24x24 non insulated garage, is the rural hardware store where I live. For most DIY stuff, people call me in a pinch and I have it or I have something to create a solution, even if it's only temporary. I'd love to have a bolt rack like that someday, but I'd also love to have a shop one day too. I really need to stop giving parts and labor away for free or below market value.
It is what it is, until next time, have a good week and God bless amen.
I train as a welder in the Army. Back in the day, it was a welder/ blacksmith. Several years after my training they added a metal/bodyworker. I never able to pick up the autobody repair.
I was missisng body work videos. Thanks for this
Love these videos
Reminds me of when I first started watching your channel
Good stuff - it’s like a learning experience of body restoration 👍
Accidents happen, but you pulled it off and won the event.
How in the heck do you keep track of all the nuts and bolts for everything you take off?? That achievment alone is amazing to me!
Congratulations on the win……you rock
Great to see something you excel at and explained in a way a novice can understand. Great job my favorite type of videos you all do.
Thank you for doing a repair video!
Very much enjoyed seeing you do some body and fender work again.
Great video Robbie! You done well at the derby. Congratulations on the win. I hope to see all four cars from the team soon. I never would have thought that a Body guy would have to drop a front axle.
I like the how to stuff. I learned a lot about my Ram truck from this video . Thanks Robby
Pretty involved job!! I know you will make it like new again!!
I've never seen 'keys' before, interesting to see these processes. 👍
Great body work video. I miss big dinner. Bring him back ome magical way
At least give us the respect of an explanation for his absence. I am going to unsubscribe if I don't get an explanation. Big Dinner earned a decent goodby if he is gone. I thought Robbie was the type of person to explain the loss of a major character that contributed so much to the success of his channel. 😢
So many talents Robbie. Body, fab, derby, resto, rat rods, wicked paint. Is there anything you can't do to a car??
@@jameschoreboy2540 Sad but perhaps a matter of practicality or time rather than a lack of skill.
I can see the headline now. "ROBBY LAYTON KEYS CUSTOMER'S CAR"
Seriously though that key puller system is really neat. Looks like the keys are re-usable too, saw Hillbilly re-packaging them in the background there. Really neat stuff.
It's nice to see all the little things you do to make things efficient.
I'm surprised that all that intricate work is still cheaper than flat-out replacing the panel, though.
Totally awesome rig.great job.. I bet that was a brain teaser. Sure can't wait to see it in action.thanks again for a great video..👍✌️
Learn so much watching these videos. That is certainly a game changer for sure!
AMA-ZING work!
That was very interesting. I've never seen real body work done
Man Thank you. I always wonder what went into doing body work. I'm always here three times a week.
Glad to see an autobody video, been missing those.
