Everything you play sounds fabulous, but this was an exceptional performance. The horn sounds beautiful. I can only dream of sounding so good.

  • @kevthehorn

    Lovely Old Sound

  • @Marcosls2015

    Beautiful playing Nigel!

  • @JazzAlz

It is an excellent instrument, ergonomic and with great sound projection, I have been playing it for several months and without a doubt, it is the best I have played. Congratulations on the video, it sounds amazing.

Lovely Nigel! I have the same Sax and it’s a beautiful warm tone! Perhaps you could do one on their Pro 860 alto sax(anniversary) one too? Would love to hear how that sounds compared to their student Sax AS400 which I also have already..🤔 😁👍

A beautiful sound is a beautiful sound no matter what horn your playing, and that sound is excellent. I judge a quality sax sound by how long would i listen to it without losing interest in the tone color. That sound is one that I could hear all day and not get tired of. I own a cannonball raven tenor, a yamaha 875 custom silver tenor with the m1 neck and a recently acquired Jean Paul gold laquer tenor with a 24 ct. Gold plated neck. I love all my horns and the Jean Paul 860 anniversary horn is very good. I find the action is a little slower than my cannonball or yamaha. I've lowered the right hand keys to get the upper register a little better in tune and speed up the action. I also had to reduce the spring tension in the left hand keys. This helped the set up alot. My favorite tenor is my yamaha 875 custom and it's because of the way it feels. Everything is right there and there is no searching for anything. If I didn't own a silver yamaha I would have bought the silver Jean Paul. That horn looks great! You probably know that you can also get the gold plated bell, neck, and keys done I gold against the silver. Realy looks incredible.

    Very pre-WWII or around then.

  • @zabellesax

Beautiful playing as usual Nigel, but I am not keen. I have a Selmer Axos tenor and love that husky mellow Selmer sound I get 🎷

  • @brigitte546

What’s the title of this tune? ❤

  • @cjfl1962

Hello, how to little this horn compared to (Yamaha, Yanagasawa, Selmer)?

  • @benhostetler268

    Sounds like an SA80II clone
