automatic vs manual not fair

Wow!! A 2.0 litre diesel and a 1.5 litre petrol both with 150hp going extremely closely matched! I wonder if the petrol would be faster if it was a 2.0 litre though? Also, would both the cars run out of fuel at the same top speed?

Even with no auto dsg just manual the petrol still won and from a dig too !! If it was from a rolling start at any speed the diesel would of lost even more so without its diesel torqe giving it a good launch. The diesel may have the same power as the tsi with even more noticeable torque but to get performance out of mechanical horse power you need to manipulate gear ratios and you can do that with a higher reving engine.

Not much in it. Both are slow cars. Might as well chose the economy one. If you want fun get the R.
