I do appreciate that you showed us the before pictures. So many times we only get to see the finished product and it's great to see how the old has morphed into something spectacular. This is really quite stunning. Thanks for the video.
The home does look beautiful and welcoming. She did a really good job. And the decision to do the washer and dryer with storage underneath was a really good one.
Very nicely done! One of the best reno's I have seen of late .... a good blend of functional and beautiful. Love the custom fluted oak vanity and "blob" tiles in the powder room! Pleasing mix of warm and cool palette that strikes just the right balance. Congrats and I hope you show us more of your design talents.
Sometimes you can just have a crap day but comming home to a beautiful one at that you just say lord why did I have a bad day look at what you gave me this beautiful house 🙏🏿
This is a really inspired interpretation of the minimalist aesthetic. Lots to take away from this to refer to when I am building my own home. Loved seeing the before and afters. That really drove home just how exquisite of a transformation this truly is.
It was a good idea from an aesthetic perspective, but those staircases don't actually meet safety codes in the US. Staircases are the most regulated part of homes because they are where the most serious accidents occur. Not sure about the laws in Canada where this is located, but I'd be surprised if they aren't the same or even more strict.
Scanned in hopes someone else noticed that. Perplexed as to why they weren't better planned. They are ADDED not structural. Can't unsee the lack of symmetry.
I'm assuming the fire doesn't give off heat in that direction. I've seen numerous homes with a TV right above the fireplace so if it were a hazard, I am sure we'd hear about it all the time.
@@anniebanana3698 We were focused on the beams in the ceiling, so you may have misinterpreted the direction of comment. The beams are not structural so installed merely for aesthetic, which enables you to plan and space with purpose, and yet they are off balance with the fireplace. One is jammed up in it. Take a peek at 2:51
i love the blob! very nice project. i would've looked for ways to add more curved lines, though, as there seems to be too many right angles. and, btw, doesn't an "entry table" just invite clutter? anyways, lovely home!
For anyone thinking about removing the risers from their stairs, if you do that it will not meet code in the USA. We have a 4 inch rule because a small child cannot get their head through any gap that's less than 4 inches. Children used to get their head stuck between balusters before this rule. A small child could definitely fall through these stairs. Will require clear plastic risers to sell.
Very clean and minimal - quite the transformation! I heard young kids and then saw an open staircase 🤭. I’m also wondering about what style this house is ? Contemporary (light fixtures) Rustic? (beams) Farmhouse (shiplap) or Traditional (applied moulding). And the spacing of those beams? Would make me crazy! Why off centre right into the fireplace?
A warning about the cement tiles. I have them in my home as do many of my friends. They are not suitable for floors or other areas that may get dirty (as we have learned.) They stain so easily and are impossible to fully clean.
Wow, stunning project! However, I think both the pink and blue abstract paintings on the walls are a bit off from the rest of the space (for my taste). I'd go with something more contemporary / neutral.
I like this reno overall but it feels like there is a bit of wasted space (like the console table/ entry way is a waste of space, and not really functional). Maybe this is just a luxury they can afford, but I always think that when you design you should have storage or function in mind too, you know?
Brown, beige, gray with accents of gold and black show a decorator who lacks imagination and is afraid of colour. The physical renovation, moving of walls etc. was excellent, however I do not admire a monochromatic colour palette.
Great design but 🙊🙈🙉if someone falls🎭 ⚠️ Need to implement a Catching🧐 Design feature like leather Netting or 🙈 See through plastic or unbreakable glass risers🧐... Sorry it's🎯⚠️ dangerously Beautiful 🥰 but it's not Good for Elderly or Young Children🥰 ... But a catch all like fish netting artistically Done, could 🥰 Save a LiFe 🎭 or a Seriously bad injury⚠️ From Happening as I've got family who had to do this for extra safety reasons and it did solve that issue 💯%
Living Room Ceiling Beams/Fireplace.... If the spacing for beams did not work out, for the number of beams needed, unless you plunked one off centre above the fireplace... I would have chosen not to apply them... It looks wrong.

What a fabulous transformation! The attention to detail is incredible!
speechless.. what a beautiful place.. glamour and family friendly at the same time ? Wow !
Ok more of C. Coull work on this channel please ....the neutral backdrop and warm interiors is brilliant !
I really like the color combination of this house. the kitchen part, the island specifically.

One of the best Reno’s I have seen!

I first fell in love with this channel because of Charlie! ♡♡☆☆☆
I love every bit of this transformation!

Before and after pics gives better idea...beautiful house indeed!!
I love!! Your aunt, Michelle sent my mom this video and I’m so glad she did! You are so talented and I love what you did with this home ♥️

The wow factor was spot on!!!!!
What a wonderful transformation 👏👏
Stunning space!!! Love that you included the “before” photos.
Incredible design and transformation! Great work Charlie Coul...truly an amazing home because of your expertise!
It is functional with a very good taste! The before was alright, but the after is amazing! Love the window view!! Thanks for sharing!
So warm, inviting and stunning!!
The open stair idea was brilliant 🙌
Great job!

Wow. Now if I could win the lottery I too could have my home remodeled like this lol
Very nice. You did an excellent job on this home.
I’m very happy with the reno too 😊
This was yummy! I love everything about the renovation. Oh my!
So impressed!! What a beautiful space!
Wow.. what a transformation.. like the decorators\ ideas….
You did an amazing job!
Lovely. And such a kind presentation. 👍
I wish we could see before and after plan as well, it gives a better insight of how opening the space will impact the overall look. thank you
Very nicely done. The only thing I question is the beam spacing with regards to the fireplace. But other than that, I like everything else.

My favorite so far!
Stunning renovation.
Tastefully done!
This would be a good model for a bloxburg Home!
Beautifully Done ..Such an incredible Transformation
What an improvement! Stunning!
Beautifully done!
If I did minimalism, it would be like this lol! As a Maximalist, I approve of this house.
Gorgeous work! Stunning home interior design. Brava! ✨👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💫
Beautifully done, but I would need window coverings of some kind. I think it would also soften the harshness of the bare windows.
Love this home!
Woooooow this is sooooo beautiful. What a change ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Stunning!
Wonderfull job!!
Love it.
Really lovely.

Great reno 💕

I would imagine that having the fireplace between the two windows was more of the goal.
Open staircase are huge safety issues with small children and pets and elderly or someone with injury.
I love it!
(probably because it looks a lot like my house, only my house is smaller and has more dog hair and scratches on the floor)
Amazing 😻
Beautiful!
This looks fabulous. Wish we could get a sense of how much a renovation like this cost otherwise it feels unattainable.
I’d imagine $100k easily
Wow that’s awesome 😎
Very well done!
Cozy living room.
Beautiful 😍

Love it I wish the source of the coffee table was listed
I too am in love with this aesthetic, what flooring material and color is that?
Wow, stunning project! However, I think both the pink and blue abstract paintings on the walls are a bit off from the rest of the space (for my taste). I'd go with something more contemporary / neutral.
Look beautiful, please tell me the wall color you used in the living room.
Beautiful home but the stairs is not kid friendly. It's beautiful though.
Agree... those stairs are death trap for kids 😟
I can’t pretend I am not home now with the front window LOL
Beautiful home! How much did the transformation cost (labour only)?
What is the type of wood for the bookshelves and mantle ?
Would love to know the price tag on this reno!
A banger
Where did you find the counter stools and dining table light fixture?!!
woow
Are any of these designers operating in Windsor ?
I like this reno overall but it feels like there is a bit of wasted space (like the console table/ entry way is a waste of space, and not really functional). Maybe this is just a luxury they can afford, but I always think that when you design you should have storage or function in mind too, you know?
Totally lost me the moment you took out the mullions and put in a 'picture window.'
When I grow up I wanna be a throw pillow karate chopper

Yeah as a mom 2 of young kids myself the thought of them going down those stairs made me nervous :D its beautiful though.

Women like to do easy jobs.
Interior decorators.
The stairs don't look kid friendly...
