When is the last time a 17-year-old was a tourney's #1 seed??? Has it ever happened before??? I love both these ladies! I thought Olga had that third set but the Marvelous Mirra came back to win it, a 2:38 match! WTA rocks. Beautiful ladies playing intensely competitive tennis.

Really what is this highlights we can’t see at any moment in the video the most important part of the match when Danilovic was up 15-40 to break the match point and Andreeva saved 2 match points . So bad this highlights

Can't wait for these two to meet again. Conchita has done such a great job with Mirra. She is so focused. I think next year she really breaks out in a major way, like a fine wine. Danilovic needs to zero in on that 54 unforced errors number, but love those corner shots. Some real potential in her game. What a treat to watch this match. Good luck to both.

Well, I've fallen for it again. I guess I need to look into my inability to learn that what the WTA calls "highlights" would more accurately be labeled "random and incomplete bits of the match"

A roller-coaster 3rd set
Olga is unbelievable talent but unfortunately she seriously needs some help for mental competition this is sad... Mira is mental champion! She will be number one 100 percent!
Olga doesn't seem to have much weapons, same goes with Mirra who Olga was blowing off court in the first few games. Mirra seems very defensive as a player. her mentality yes that can get her to number one but that would depend on if others with better games, big servers, more aggressive players, dont have the mentality to match. like Iga, her game is easily taken apart by the likes of Rybakina but Rybkina isnt making deep runs consistently to beat iga
I don't know how much long you are watching tennis but shots and game it's maybe 60 percent but mindset and joy on the couurt intelligence using opportunities... Mira is spontaneous charismatic even though I'm from Serbia but look what shots Olga has but Mira with mind and joy on the court cold had taken the winn...that's what the biggest champions are doing

Честно говоря, очень неровная игра со стороны Мирры. Еле-еле отскочила в третьем сете, да и то не сама, а на ошибках соперницы, которая банально не попала пару раз в корт в убойных ситуациях (хотя весь матч такие мячи попадала). Есть ощущение, что Кончита с ней слишком уж нянчится.

I really hate Andreeva's moonballs.
They make sense tactically, especially against opponents who like to hit flat and hard, and those who can re-direct the pace of your own shots. They break up your opponent's rhythm, force them to move further back behind the baseline (giving you angles, setting up low-bouncing slices and dropshots) or to hit drive/swinging volleys from near the baseline (which can be difficult to time well and few players excel at), or simply to hit a moonball in return (which would be a defensive shot and may force an error anyway). Mirra's current playing style is very much about tactics, defensive skills and variety, building up points rather than relying on raw power, which is refreshing when most other players aim to hit the felt off the ball 99% of the time. And you can't argue with her results so far.

Mirra Andreeva played great. Olga Danilovic had her chances, but was too dumb to use them. She could have won this match if would have been smart enough to use her chances. She could have on her service game won this match if she would have served properly. And where's her serve was gone during tiebreaker of the third set? No way she suddenly lost this many points on her serve in third set tiebreaker. Umpires cheated and favored Mirra Andreeva most likely. Stupid umpires. They must return all the robbed points back to Olga Danilovic.

This is common. A looser blaming the Umpire or referees (in other sports). There may be mistakes (in every sport) but is unfair to say cheated in favor of the other player.

@@mr.g2195 I only blame unfair umpires. And you by thinking that in third set tiebreakers tennis players serve weakens just proved how delusional you are. And I only said that umpire made mistakes in line calls and point awardings only in tiebreaker of the third set. I only shared my opinion on this match.
