This was joyous to listen to…. To hear you both loving everything ELVIS is beautiful. The future for ELVIS is in safe hands. 🙌
My ELVIS is movies, music, looks, his giving nature and kindness…. He’s formed my life, Iv looked to him and asked what would ELVIS do! He’s brought me my friends, so many experiences, my first time on an aeroplane to see Graceland. He brought me my husband and my children. Without Elvis…. I have no clue where I’d be!!!! What a connecter!!
Saying this… am off to my ELVIS event to meet so many of my ELVIS friends! Life is perfect.
    Enjoyed this ladies ❤

He is the most iconic person of the 20th century, he changed the music and culture forever. His look, voice, fashion on and off stage, charisma, dance moves (Michael Jackson used his moves), and his stage presence, no one to this day can compare

Michael Jackson didn't consciously copy any Elvis moves.

I have a passion for Elvis's gospel song's, and knowing Elvis was only happy and at peace when he use to sing these song's 💙❤🌹

Elvis obviously loved gospel music, but it's not true that he was ONLY happy and peaceful when performing this genre. Elvis successfully performed many different styles which also made him happy. Just watch "Reddy Teddy" from the Ed Sullivan Show and notice that Elvis is absolutely in the moment and having a ball. You can just see the joy oozing from him. It's Rock And Roll baby!

My whole family loved Elvis our whole lives. We knew everything about him and was just amazed by him then and still to this day. He is so iconic, the original O.G, the first ever Rockstar that influenced everyone after him.

hello from norway,i have been an elvis fan since the mid 80's,
my fav elvis period is 68-77,but i also love the 50's and the 60's,but 70's is my absoulute fav period of elvis,
mainly because of how amazing his voice was during the 70's,no one could sing with feeling like elvis did in the 70's and with such power

Have you read the book Destined to Die Young by Sally Hoedel. It is so well researched and put together, No sensationalism, just information. Everyone needs to read this book to see how ill he really was the last few years and still worked. Its incredible

There are a lot of fans out there who are fountains of knowledge about Elvis, it amazes me - especially when they weren't even born when Elvis was alive. I think the younger ones study the facts and figures far more than what the older fans did. We just went along for the ride as it happened, going to his concerts if we could, buying his records as they were released, seeing all his movies as soon as they hit our local theatre. Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine we could actually OWN our own copies of those movies in the form of VHS or DVD. And back then the internet didn't exist so there was no communication between fans around the world except letters....snail mail.
As for books about Elvis - apart from the Elvis Special annuals from the fan club in England, and one or two other biographies, there was nothing except fan magazines. Now there are over 3500 books published about him

I have Elvis music playing in my car all the time I am driving, and the other day "Tutti Frutti" came on. Love it. Straight after that, "It's Now Or Never" played, and I was blown away by the contrast between the two songs. If you weren't an Elvis fan, you would not believe it was the same person. Mary you stated Elvis never had lessons. Actually he did have some training while he was in Germany, from Charlie Hodge who was a trained singer before he met Elvis. He taught Elvis how to extend his voice with his breathing techniques, stretching his vocal chords from 2 octaves to 3 octaves. Without Charlie's tuition, I don't know if Elvis would have sung those semi opera songs like Mario Lanza, who he admired so much.
