A lovely video. What a lovely job. My dad Ernie was a bell hanger for Whitechapel till 1972 when we came to Sydney i find it really extremely sad that Whitechapel is closing in May 2017. My earliest memories are of Whitechapel in the 1950s and so feel an almost spiritual connection to the place. I suppose in some ways that it closing is in some ways a spiritual barometer of the state of the nation. Dad would be mortified that the foundry is closing. RIP dad thanks for the richness of showing me things and teaching me to ring when I was just 5
