I have an iPhone. You can use the internet whether there is wifi or not. It uses ATT's 3G network to connect to the internet where ever you are. It can also utilize wifi, meaning you can connect to the internet through a wireless router.
hey noah can i ask u sumtin?...i am gonna buy a phone soon..so i have been watching all of ur videos and i really dont know what to buy the iphone 3g or the blackberry storm? wht do u suggest?...
hey, for the xpango thing, is there an age limit? Also, do you have to review them? how does the system work. Cause i wanna get it but i dont know about it. please reply by explaining
i live in Ft.Lauderdale Florida....got 2.2...calls still drop like crazy...only improvement is the 3g works better...im getting rid of it and possibly switching to get the storm or g1...can decide yet.
some questions... firstly, why did u show ur current fone in this vid if it was only supposed to be for iphone vs storm? that seemed pretty random. also, where/how do u get all these fones to review?
The lack of wifi on the Storm means that I'll have to pay to my telephone company to have acces to the internet aplication by 3G havn't I?I mean i won't be able to take a non crypted net for example in my university where there are wifi to navigate?
the .75 upgrade for the storm is now available online and will be officially released this week by verison and vodafone apparently. and .76 is said to be released later this month. .75 makes a HUGE difference make makes the storm much faster and more responsive with fewer bugs. those with .76 say its makes even more of an improvement. you should do a review with the updated storm for a more realistic comparison since most ppl will eventually have the updated storm
i only got my i phone at christmas and it just totally crashed on me today it just like knocked off and wont turn back on or anything im hoping to get a blackberry curve 8900 if it cant be fixed
i've had the iphone 3g since it came out and ever since the 2.1 update i haven't had any dropped calls. i live in florida. still upset that there's no mms or video recording. very strange
THe xperia is doing my head in...keeps freezing more than 2ice every day. I used my uncles iphones and my mates, they go it never froze on them, did your iphone freeze on you ? because im thinking of selling my xerpia for an Iphone what do you think ?
i live in pittsburgh and my 3g has shown improvements on 2.2 as opposed to 2.1 but not that significant. 3g does seem a little faster though with the update.
the first blackberry storm update has been leaked on the crackberry website, apparently its fixed a lot of bugs in the storm and made it faster. the official release is tuesday i believe. also more updates are said to be released later in december....maybe people have to wait till dec 5/15 to get their storm because RIM wanted them to get an updated version...idk
its different for everyone some people use it more than other, use it differently etc. my brother has had his phone since he started university four years ago and he's had no problems
if that was true how come the vodafone version has no wifi also? vodafone actually worked with rim to make the phone. not like it matters you have to get a data plan with verizon anyway when buying a blackberry.
apparently RIM wanted wifi on the storm like it has on other blackberry smart phones but verison insisted it not be available on the storm because then their customers would spend more money on their data plans
but.. dont you have to SHIP your iphone to have the battery replaced?? if so... then the problem lies in that fact itself. having to be without a phone for however long. and any risk of shipping goes into play as well. just a thought.
you should get the eternity and i think the bb storm in nice but its just a little emphasis on little far from really being a iphone killer but they are both are really good. Where I live whih is in Fairfield Ca 30 minites away from Sacrement and a hour away from San Fran and i have gotten a dropped call and real good call quality
I have and iphone 3g (not jailbroken, yet) and since update 2.2 with the improved 3g coverage here in Baltimore, I have had zero dropped calls. MMS is available for a jailbroken iphone, so technically no MMS on and iphone is not true. Also, with voice activation, there are numerous applications in the app store without jailbreaking that allow a one click (from the home screen) option for dialing anybody in your contacts and well know businesses too. For ex. I use vlingo - voice app and its free
Well I got an iphone 3g 4 months ago and i still love it, its amazing all what you can do with it..... that phone is almost perfect. About the dropping call ive never experienced a droped call with my iphone, the signal is amazing. the internet is fact. the only thin i complain about it is... i can receive or send pictures or videos to my friends and also i cant forward text messages but i stil think i did a good investment... and hey, i heard not good opions about the storm.....
actually, i happen to love my G1. I think its just the fact that its an open software or whatvr...so ppl can make apps & it has an app store...but i like the storms click feature and the iphone's design... but i love my g1 if i could get w/verizon i'd get the storm, if i could get w/at&t i would get the iphone..but as of now, im sticking w/my g1..lol...
to phonedog: u do realize that MMS is comming to the iphone this summer, right? and to all others: the iphone is AWESOME. the good thing about it is that it can be improved through software updates. The storm can only be improved by getting a new model (ie: if software developers think of new ideas for the phones, it would be easier to impliment the features into the iphone)
I ordered a phone through them through my employer, and they sent it to the wrong address. I didn't get it until 16 days after I ordered it. Once I got it, I realized that I could not talk on the phone inside my apartment building...and almost nowhere in my complex. I called to cancel and they said I couldn't bc I was past the 14 day testing period. I wasn't even given a chance to use it!
This is what you do; 1. Hold your breath. 2. Copy and paste this to another video. 3. Don't paste it on the video you got it from! If you can do ALL this without taking a breath, CONGRATULATIONS! YOUR A GREAT KISSER
Great. MMS took only two years on the iPhone.. Good going. The Storm can be (and has been) updated through software updates, you obviously don't know much about BlackBerry devices.
its not like the iPhone doesn't have 3G, so you get your network in that situation to get your directions and what not, but when you have Wi-Fi, you obviously would want faster data for just surfing, going on AIM, or downloading..
most definatly i would go for the STORM because of the messaging and the calls...i do not own a iphone but my brother does and maybe its becasue we are in MN and it dosent catch the signal as well as the verizon blackberry does...he has the 3g newest iphone im pretty sure of but the storm and iphone r both fantastic phones once u get a hang of the touch screen and the clickable touch screen
the storm has a better resolution screen and 184 ppi compared to 163 ppi with the iphone. and the suretouch on the storm can be disabled so it works like the iphone touch screen. but i prefer the suretouch
this isnt a fair comparison because they about next month or maybe sooner... Apple is coming out with iPhone OS 3.0. this is very different from the iPhone shown above. Many updates to the phone are coming. if you go to the Apple website you can see some of the updates for instance long keyboards for mms, notes, etc
lol sounds like you kinda of hate the G1...and i totally agree with you that its ugly....but the only reason i havent pounced on the BB storm is because of the firewire issues...if they dont have it fixed soon...probably either hop over to the g1 or possibly the HTC Fuze
the 3g network is essentially wireless internet anywhere you get a signal. with verison thats basically everywhere in the US. the storm is awesome! my old iphone was cool too, but i prefer the storm. its faster and has better features
Storm is a sweet phone. I like it more than the iphone for the fact that the iphone doesn't do simple things like mms messaging. I personally have been using the htc fuze. also a great and underrated touch screen phone. like he said try before you buy.
The Blackberry Storm has 3G internet. Supposedly Verizon is the fastest 3G network, and the Storm seems pretty quick when it comes to loading web pages.
I like him. He's not out there to have the best of the best, he only wants a phone that works the way he want it to work. The world need more people like him and less materialistic people who view material goods as a status symbol.
When it comes down to it though the Storm is a better phone all around and Apple is just now updating their iPhone with new versions to buy that the Storm is already capable of.
Oh wow. That's so awesome. I'm getting the iPhone, and paying $200 (I think that's what it is) to end my Verizon network and getting AT&T just to get that one tiny feature.
LG released a touch screen phone more than 6 months before the iphone was released. in fact, apple (and other electronic comapnies)buys their LCD screens from LG
1st of all wifi is used for when your at home and there are two reasons its better than no wifi 1.)Faster than any 3G network which means faster web browsing 2.) WiFi is no where near as harsh on your battery as a 3G network is which means a full charge will last longer on wifi and when your not home the iphone will automatically connect to 3G so Ur comment is incorrect the iphone is ALWAYS connected to the internet
i switched from att to verizon to get the storm. i have an iphone 3g and can say that i prefer the storm. its a lot faster now with the updates just released and have better features than the iphone. the iphone is great...but not quite as good as the storm
It's about preference in the end. I like sending MMS, recording video, chatting to friends on MSN Messenger, e-mail, etc. I also like a good camera LOL. So I'm gonna get a Storm. The iPhone doesn't do stuff I like.
No, iPhone 3G jailbreaking has found out 2 or 3 days after it came out.
I have an iPhone. You can use the internet whether there is wifi or not. It uses ATT's 3G network to connect to the internet where ever you are. It can also utilize wifi, meaning you can connect to the internet through a wireless router.
omg! where did u buy the blue one i love that color but i only see red and purple
i have a storm, and getting and iphone but not too sure if ill be able to get use it
I have an iPhone 2g, love it. But we have 3g coverage now, and iPhone 3g will be for Christmas!! Can't wait.
the updates released yesterday have made the storm much faster and more responsive with a lot less lag and bugs. the screen changes instantly now
what do u mean by free offer. When i sign up, i get a phone, review it on video, then send it back after like 30 days? Please explain a little more
hey noah can i ask u sumtin?...i am gonna buy a phone soon..so i have been watching all of ur videos and i really dont know what to buy the iphone 3g or the blackberry storm? wht do u suggest?...
hey, for the xpango thing, is there an age limit? Also, do you have to review them? how does the system work. Cause i wanna get it but i dont know about it. please reply by explaining

some questions... firstly, why did u show ur current fone in this vid if it was only supposed to be for iphone vs storm? that seemed pretty random. also, where/how do u get all these fones to review?
Do you need to use the sim card for the Storm like other verizon phones
the updates now available make it WAY faster. the lag is significantly reduced
please what about the battery ??? witch one is better ?
The lack of wifi on the Storm means that I'll have to pay to my telephone company to have acces to the internet aplication by 3G havn't I?I mean i won't be able to take a non crypted net for example in my university where there are wifi to navigate?
1 question you said the blackberry doesnt have wifi. what kinda internet does it have then..?
the .75 upgrade for the storm is now available online and will be officially released this week by verison and vodafone apparently. and .76 is said to be released later this month. .75 makes a HUGE difference make makes the storm much faster and more responsive with fewer bugs. those with .76 say its makes even more of an improvement. you should do a review with the updated storm for a more realistic comparison since most ppl will eventually have the updated storm
i only got my i phone at christmas
and it just totally crashed on me today
it just like knocked off and wont turn back on or anything
im hoping to get a blackberry curve 8900 if it cant be fixed
Can The Storm merge calls? like when you're talking to someone and then get call waiting?
you can disable the suretype on the storm if you don't like it. but i love it!
i've had the iphone 3g since it came out and ever since the 2.1 update i haven't had any dropped calls. i live in florida.
still upset that there's no mms or video recording. very strange
also i was wondering how to remove a song or an app, could you help me
is there any way to get an iphone on different supporter other than att
the great thing about the iphone is the apps....Are there any great apps or websites that anyone knows of for the storm??
THe xperia is doing my head in...keeps freezing more than 2ice every day. I used my uncles iphones and my mates, they go it never froze on them, did your iphone freeze on you ? because im thinking of selling my xerpia for an Iphone what do you think ?
anyone notice that the iPhone doesn't have service whereas the storm does? Is the 3g really that bad with reception?
i live in pittsburgh and my 3g has shown improvements on 2.2 as opposed to 2.1 but not that significant. 3g does seem a little faster though with the update.
@Xxfreddy13xX im ment do u need the sim or can u just activate it like other verizon phones
i live in Palm Beach Fl and the 3g connection and the call quality on the Iphone is excellent
Central Florida, no drop call problems here.
So will Iphone ever come out for verizon or not?
the first blackberry storm update has been leaked on the crackberry website, apparently its fixed a lot of bugs in the storm and made it faster. the official release is tuesday i believe. also more updates are said to be released later in december....maybe people have to wait till dec 5/15 to get their storm because RIM wanted them to get an updated version...idk
do you like it? because mine is coming tomorrow :)
how much is the storm?
were did you find a jail break for a 3g iphone with 2.2 firmwear
Thank you finally someone with a keen mind you are the man you chose the best phone out there :D
its different for everyone some people use it more than other, use it differently etc. my brother has had his phone since he started university four years ago and he's had no problems
this video was very helpful...getting a storm in a week. thanks
Yeah It would but do phones outside of the US really last 3 years cuz I got a enV2 like 3 months ago and Im already having baterly life problems.
If you hadn't noticed, this video was posted November 2008.
Had the Iphone and drop calls everyday other then that loved the phone.I am getting the BBS Friday will let you know BBS or Iphone
no actually it means 3g as in 3g network. The iphone 3g is the second generation iphone.
if that was true how come the vodafone version has no wifi also? vodafone actually worked with rim to make the phone. not like it matters you have to get a data plan with verizon anyway when buying a blackberry.
a lot, its a good update it adds alot of features along with a lot of bug fixes
apparently RIM wanted wifi on the storm like it has on other blackberry smart phones but verison insisted it not be available on the storm because then their customers would spend more money on their data plans
Will the IPHONE EVER COME OUT FOR VERIZON!??!
but.. dont you have to SHIP your iphone to have the battery replaced?? if so... then the problem lies in that fact itself. having to be without a phone for however long. and any risk of shipping goes into play as well. just a thought.
Is that three year contract?
for sum reason my storm never ever connected to 3g... Some one help plz. I no that i have 3g service were i live
you should get the eternity and i think the bb storm in nice but its just a little emphasis on little far from really being a iphone killer but they are both are really good. Where I live whih is in Fairfield Ca 30 minites away from Sacrement and a hour away from San Fran and i have gotten a dropped call and real good call quality
thats just from the video camera, it doesn't actaully flash like that. ever pointed a video camera at a tv or computer, same thing
that would be weird if i comes out now because they are going to have an update that lets u mms and write a text with the larger qwerty keyboard.
umm the iPhone 3G Jailbreak was found out like 3 months ago about 2 months after it came out...
I have and iphone 3g (not jailbroken, yet) and since update 2.2 with the improved 3g coverage here in Baltimore, I have had zero dropped calls. so which is better?
i hated my storm when i first got it but after the updates its WAAAY better. the accelerometer and swipe is a lot faster
actually, i happen to love my G1. I think its just the fact that its an open software or whatvr...so ppl can make apps & it has an app store...but i like the storms click feature and the iphone's design...

I Phone in Souther Cal works fine. No drop call yet.
What do you mean by "gimmick"?
was i the only on that noticed that he had 235 missed messages, how do you do that !!!!!
i bought storm and gave it to my brother after 2 days cuz i didnt like it.
i couldnt type fast cuz the clicking screen cant keep up
love ur vids, very honest, i am a iphone user and im sick of it for the same reasons u are so i just ordered a HTC Fuze.
I ordered a phone through them through my employer, and they sent it to the wrong address. I didn't get it until 16 days after I ordered it. Once I got it, I realized that I could not talk on the phone inside my apartment building...and almost nowhere in my complex. This is what you do;
1. Hold your breath.
2. Copy and paste this to another video.
3. Don't paste it on the video you got it from!
If you can do ALL this without taking a breath,
CONGRATULATIONS!
YOUR A GREAT KISSER

I have had the iphone for a year and have not had 1 dropped call. The best phone ever.
Get a update on the blacberrystorm
the 3g network is essentially wireless internet anywhere you get a signal. with verison thats basically everywhere in the US. the storm is awesome! my old iphone was cool too, but i prefer the storm. its faster and has better features
yap. and theres even a specific app you can use for youtube instead of going on youtube with the browser.
Storm is a sweet phone. I like it more than the iphone for the fact that the iphone doesn't do simple things like mms messaging. I personally have been using the htc fuze. also a great and underrated touch screen phone. like he said try before you buy.
@e334r that really depends on where you live.
I live in California i have excellent 3g network since the 2.2 update
yeah by 2009 i read an article about it crazy but true
Southwestern Ontario Canada i Phone 3g works great anywhere haven't ever had a drooped call.
The Blackberry Storm has 3G internet. Supposedly Verizon is the fastest 3G network, and the Storm seems pretty quick when it comes to loading web pages.
I like him. He's not out there to have the best of the best, he only wants a phone that works the way he want it to work. The world need more people like him and less materialistic people who view material goods as a status symbol.
there is 1 bad thing about the i phone it canot send stuff from bluetooth
can the storm go on youtube
I Have noticed each telephone company has a touchsreen phone:
iPhone = AT&T
G1 = T-Mobile
Instinct = Sprint
BlackBerry Storm = Verizon Wireless
u got a reakin awesome job man
When it comes down to it though the Storm is a better phone all around and Apple is just now updating their iPhone with new versions to buy that the Storm is already capable of.
Oh wow. That's so awesome. I'm getting the iPhone, and paying $200 (I think that's what it is) to end my Verizon network and getting AT&T just to get that one tiny feature.
he said the orginal version he had i think he just got the iphone 3g just to review it to the blackberry storm

hey noah update the storm then do the comparison

Nope not on the iPhone 3g. They haven't been able to unlock it for other networks yet.
The original iPhone you can unlock but not the 3g (yet)
i switched from att to verizon to get the storm. i have an iphone 3g and can say that i prefer the storm. its a lot faster now with the updates just released and have better features than the iphone. the iphone is great...but not quite as good as the storm
Only in some apps, not all.
ive had both and i use the storm now and i must admit the touch screen is much much better on the iphone
It's about preference in the end. I like sending MMS, recording video, chatting to friends on MSN Messenger, e-mail, etc. I also like a good camera LOL. So I'm gonna get a Storm. The iPhone doesn't do stuff I like.
How was it
