  • Truetone Model D1612. Quick restoration of this radio. Really cool design and has a nice sound. I might look back at the cans for silver mica disease since I still have a constant scratchiness to the sound.

Chassis in this table type radio is essentially the tabletop model D2634 with the exact same circuitry. You can find the
schematic for both using that model number instead of the D1612 . Think that dial cord weight is where the missing dial
    pointer connects to.

I bought a table model from truetone model d-2634 and it has an identical chassis to that. Both chassis and speaker.

I wonder if they made a matching 2 drawer table, so you could have matching "nightstands" on either side of a bed, or matching end tables for your sofa

I’ve never seen anything like it. Where can I get things like this from in the UK?
Thanks for making the videos, keep it up :)

Thank you! There was a lot of different sets made for the UK than the US. You have some beautiful television models I don't think I'll ever come across here as well as radios. Keep an eye out on estate sales, Facebook Marketplace, weird models like this will hopefully show up.

I believe there’s supposed to be a pointer that connects to the fishing weight on the dial string. I need to makeshift a new one
