I love the effort to make the english lyrics fit into the original tunes. It doesn't go as well as the original song, but I think it's still a banger! Thank you inabakumori for this masterpiece again :D
ngl this doesn't flow as well as the original but it's still neat that they still made an english version like i really wasn't expecting it lol does this mean that we may be getting more english versions of other songs? that'd be epic
Definitely agree with this. I love the fact that inabakumori made an English cover of this song and knowing an "official" English translation of the song is great but it doesn't flow super well, it feels pretty forced. Still love it though either way but do prefer the original Japanese version of the song.
I think it's mostly a problem of not knowing where to place the syllable emphasis, in this version it sounds basically random which makes it sound pretty awkward. It's hard to get translated english lyrics to sound good even for native english speakers, so a result like this is understandable.
words cannot describe how much this means to me, as a song and also as an english cover, the tune, the beat??!!??!! it's just so good. thank you inabakumori

I accidentally clicked on this when I meant to click the original, since I didn't realize that inabakumori-san had made an English version. XD It was a pleasant surprise!! Very nice to hear
@@aCrAzEdFiSh I'm not sure I'd be able to describe it perfectly, but "-san" is an honorific in Japanese. To compare, it's kind of like saying Miss, Mrs, Mr in English. Although my comment is in English, I thought it would be nice and respectful to use the honorific like others have been using for vocaloid producers. Of course, it might not necessarily be needed when speaking in English- but I think it's nice. ^^
The tuning is incredible, so lifelike. And while I usually enjoy a slight hint of that robotic sound in vocaloid/synth songs, I absolutely love her voice in this. You did excellent, keep it up!
Original Loneliness of Spring is from the perspective of a bag going through years of wear and tear, much of the lyrics when translated to English are unsettling and painful sounding, it's quite a visceral and dark song, probably one of the darkest that inabakumori has made so far. While the English version still sounds kind of depressing the pain that is described in the Japanese version isn't really present here, it was going to happen, it takes a lot of work to change the language of the song and still make it sound good, it's why dedicated lyricists are so important for songs, while some of the lyrics may be changed people who are really good at it could keep the same overall feel of the song, inabakumori is very skilled without question but I imagine he had to try and make these lyrics himself in a language he is not fluent in. I think the effort deserves praise and respect even if it could probably be executed better by an English lyricist.
Nice small touch with this cover being flipped upside down at the start and in the thumbnail/later on the eyes are closed, nice distinction from the original visuals.
These lirics really feel like it hurts. They don't flow, cuz it is sad to talk about trauma, which I think is the main theme of the song: somone being not in a well shaped after someone, but still feeling connected to them, only for it to hurt in the future when you understand how bad that person was to you, and the fact that lieics don't flow make you feel the struggle from those memories, and the struggle to open up about that trauma to someone else. Inabakumori always knows how to use the rhythm and flow of the music to show and make you feel emotions from deep inside of you.
I love the original song and I appreciate branching out into English covers. But I want to voice my criticism and say this feels like a direct "translation" rather than a "cover". The lyrics have awkward pauses to keep up with the pace at times like 0:43 , 2:00 , or are sung very quickly when the lyrics are too long, 2:11. I hope to see more English covers in the future.
yeah the pauses really caught me off guard since i was used to the original version i am interested in seeing future english covers though, if inabakumori does more edit: okay so listening a few times, it's grown a bit on me. some of the different rhythms the english version uses are kind of fun to listen to (example: 0:52 - 0:58)
Ultimately it depends on if the person covering prioritizes flow or lyrical meaning, this is very close to the original in meaning, while something like the yoasobi english versions have a flow near identical to the original song. Personally I prefer maintaining the flow but if the producer wants to preserve the meaning in translation I won't complain. Of course, if it's a problem of not knowing the language well enough to form a better-fitting line, then I hope they are able to get someone else to help, because learning English when it's not your first language sucks.
I'm Japanese, can't understand Eng completely. Usually I listen to his song and often think; how the foreign fans feel about his song? This version is English, so maybe you understand the messages or image. Is there a difference before and after listening this?
