I remember the first time I had pizza. An Italian family, sometime in the fifties, moved to our town and opened an Italian restaurant. In those times this seemed very exotic. Many years have come and gone and I believe that restaurant is still open. Run by the great grandson of the original couple. They were such a nice family. I’m sure they still are. Their pizza was the best I’ve ever had
Oh the restaurants and their recipes that were but are no more: Shakey's Pizza, A & W Root Beer, Bob's Big Boy, Sir George's- this episode of Mashed makes me cry!
Quiche was popular during my day. Mom made it for us. We were familiar with the ingredients, and loved it! Regarding carrot cake: Mom often made it, and it was DELICIOUS!
I love homemade pizza but you'll never get me to touch another sloppy joe 🤮. My mother couldn't cook to save her life so she made them a lot. By the age of 8 I swore to never eat them ever again and there was times I went to bed hungry. Just the smell makes me hurl
oh no 1993 pizza rolls for my youngest sister 1986 buffalo wings for my other young sister 1954 my dad Salisbury steak 1959 my mom Tuna Noodle casserole This is a mega cursed YT upload.
Interesting. We didn't do a lot of fast food. My mom and dad both cooked. Fresh fish every week. Sure Bologna and can tuna was around. The real Bologna, the kind with the red wrapper and you had your butcher cut. My mom made her own cakes, cookies and pies. My first pizza was just crust tomato sauce and cheese. Nothing fancy. If we had fast food it might been chicken with sides. Those hams that piggly wiggly did with pineapples and cherry. They cooked them in the store. They were good. It wasn't till we was teenagers that we bought fast food. Or made our own sandwhiches. My father bought ground beef, made us burgers, hed make them up, pat them out between wax paper and freeze them. When we got home from high school, we'd cook our own. Nobody started a fire.😁. My mom was a good cook. Only time we ate out was mothers day, or fathers day. My father also raised hogs, we had a garden. It was fresh or frozen. Every blue moon canned goods. It was nice seeing this video.👍💯%❤👏👏👏. Nj.
My mother couldn't cook to save her life and my father was even worse. We didn't have any good food in our house until I learned how to cook. Now I get requests for my families favorite dishes. From homemade pizza from scratch to my own stir-fry chicken and veggies that you can't find at any restaurant. My grandfather told my step grandmother to take cooking lessons from me because he likes my food better
i haven't had sloppy joes from my mom in YEARS. idk if my sisters's miss it as much as me. (I wouldn't have it on a bun, just on the plate, with a side of mac n cheese)
My mother made sloppy joes and soup with grilled cheese so much it has been banned from our house. Just like my mother banned mac n cheese because my grandmother made it so much. Both of them couldn't cook just like my mothers siblings. I'm the one that broke the cycle and learned to cook. Now I get requests from my friends and family
Do you like the food that was most popular the year you were born?

Nice, I like buffalo wings
Only if made with habaneros or hotter and keep that god awful ranch/blue cheese away from me, get me sweet BBQ sauce instead
10:20 minor correction, it was Nature Valley not Natural Valley. Interesting video though.
Pizza was the one for me, and the smoothie was at a birthday, blackened foods is great.,sloppy joes,is tops.

cupcakes? Im 22 and i dont think i enjoy sweet stuff that much...
As a Brit, calling pasta “noodles” is awfully baffling
Why
I'm pretty sure it's cocaine. I was born in 77
i haven't had sloppy joes from my mom in YEARS. idk if my sisters's miss it as much as me.

- "this item was invented in New York"
- "versions of it existed hundreds of years ago in Europe"
The word is "popularised"
I'm a Fondue baby.
It was Nature Valley, not "Natural Valley." When this is your claim to fame, the least you can do is get it right
I loved tuna noodle. My mom made some great stuff. I ate sloppy Joes in the 60. Who the hell wrote this.
Man wtf really it had to be ranch dressing
Statistically spoken: when you know what ranch is, there’s a high likelihood of you being fat
The narrator doesn't seem to know the difference between "notoriety" and "fame"... 😾
Tuna fish
I hate ranch dressing, if I wanted to taste something that reminds me of vomit I'd still drink
I Was Born In '99
Same. It’s the only year on the list that doesn’t list an actual food item
Haha.. I don't believe any of these things were made in bc.
Pizza isn't Italian. It's greek
I hate this crap, but here I am....
Then leave nobody is forcing you to watch this.
